7.x-1.6 release
- Release has gone out
- Last release for Nick Ruest as release manager
- Need to recruit a new release manager for the next 7.x-1.7 release
- In process - looking to have someone by January
- Should be a committer
- Could be useful to have an assistant release manager that can be trained on the release process
- Nick and Melissa will support in the meantime
- Target release date for 1.7 is April
- 7.x-1.7 will likely be the last feature release for 1.x.
- 7.x-1.x releases will likely continue past 1.7, at least for bug-fixes and security patches

- Avoid duplicating efforts, especially around common data modelling

Islandora Camp updates

- Possible date adjustment
- Conflict with Code4Lib - might move to early May
- Need to recruit instructors - community is mature enough to recruit more broadly
- In particular, need developer instructors
- Could put a call out to the community, but we would need a list of criteria
- Could post list of instructors online and ask if others would like to be added to the list
- Instructors could mentor others
