- CoC Survey - need more responses. Asking the ICC to take it themselves and share it with colleagues, especially those who may not be plugged into our regular channels.
- Draft EOI for Islandoracon 2021 - new wording about not hosting in places that can't be inclusive, based on positive feedback from the last Islandoracon. To be sent out soon-ish to get the ball rolling.
New LSAP: ISLE Phase III - provides working space for ISLE phase III. Not at all replceent for vagrant repo, but will pride an additional tool. Building a Dockerized islandora 8.
We need to keep our messaging clear around the various options (vagrant, docker, etc). Don is happy to work with this group if anything is needed on the vagrant side.
melissa notes that all parameters in the LSAP process appear to have been met.
Vote is called an all present are in favor. Melissa will follow-up with absent members by email.
- Metadata IG (Rosie) - still working on stripped-down metadata profile
- IR interest group (Don) - Nothing to report
- ISLE Interest Group (Martha or Gavin) - About to switch into a building phase (ISLE phase III) about creating a pseudo-code template into real code. Work is divided into a series of MVPs. First up: get Drupal, Solr, and mySQL running in Docker-compose. MVP 2 is Islandora + microservices. MVP 3 is Fedora and its toys. MVP 4 is any stretch goals and features. The new repo should provide for better organization and communication with the community. Once repo is up, things can start moving from google docs into the wiki and will be more accessible. ISLE 7 had a 1.4.1 security release on Monday. Thank you to Brandon for all his testing work (and patience!).
- Multi-tenancy Interest Group (Brandon) - All the PRs that are relevant for multisite have been merged, a working prototype demo should come in February. Once that's running they will have another meeting.
- Testing sprint is ongoing. A few issues with the environment for the first couple of days that have now been resolved, so we're now building with the latest Drupal but an older version of drush. About 15/50 use cases have been tested. More coming next week. No blockers so far. There's a milestone to track, mostly documentation changes or user interface updates. Release branches exist now for all repos. NO more double-pr process like we had in 7x!
- We've done a few demos for potential adopters
- UNLV did a very well attended webinar last week showing their Islandora 8
- Danny is doing a webinar on paged content next week
- Alan Stanley has become the newest Committer!
- Islandora/Fedora in AZ - registrations are going well! May sell out in the next few weeks.
- iCampPEI - nothing new to report
- Dan: DGI has comments/questions for the i8 architectural changes document. DGI also has a new look for its website
- Melissa: IF has been invited to speak at Drupalcon Libraries summit this year
- Danny: Better deployment strategies available with next release. LYRASIS has helped with figuring out how to break pieces out. ILSE will take this to a higher level, but it's a good start.
