ISLE
- Three ISLE Alpha tests still running and moving towards completion: RPI, University of Pittsburgh, Williams ISLE steering committee working on final punch list
- ISLE workshop at Code4Lib, presented on Feb 13
- I am pleased to share that the ISLE: Islandora Installation Simplified workshop at the Code4Lib preconference went quite well. Our room was filled to capacity with a mix of 15 active viewers and installers, and all were quite engaged in discussion and Q&A. The ISLE installation of Islandora using Docker containers was completed successfully on both Mac and Windows laptops using VMs. We learned a lot through our first public installation walk-through, and also received a live pulse from members in our workshop in regards to hurdles with using or adopting Islandora as the repository at each of their institutions. Processing afterwards was maybe the highlight for me as that helps to inform our next steps.
- ISLE Hack/Doc @ METRO, NYC on March 12-13
- Registration (free + open)
-
Conference representation
- Could do a blog post when OR proposals get accepted to promote all the Islandora happenings.
- Someone should curate islandora_bibliography, or at least give it better promotion
