Metadata IG (Rosie)
- Had a meeting on Monday. Discussed current process, what has been covered and where they are going with it.
- Rosie to update group notes shortly
- Getting feedback from Islandora Collaboration Group (ICG) re test migration from 7.x to 8 and will update process to put through the paces. Discussed having simliar default metadata schema.
- Working with Islandora defaults for fields assignment etc.
- Finding challenges in the basic metadata profile when strictly using DC as the RDF of metadata
- Exploring ways to turn your Drupal node into other serialized content. Json-ld (linked data) is current functionality.
- Can turn a node with its fields into xml but there are many export formats that could be put into Fedora potentially.
- The additional challenge is working with so many export methods to put into RDF are useful but users wind up not using them ultimately.
- Exploring Fedora rebuild methods while preserving Drupal work.
-

- Generates badges displaying Traditional Knowledge (TK) Labels for Islandora objects with indigenous cultural ties.
- Similar to write statements but to better describe objects and restrictions relating to indigenous cultures. (Brandon, I hope that I described that accurately and considerately)
