Minutes

1. Islandora 8 release 1.0 is here!

   • Majority of issues have been merged in.
   • File renaming and caching issues related to webforms has forced us to revert the simple upload form feature. Thus, it will not be be included in the release.
   • https://github.com/Islandora-CLAW/islandora/pull/141 is the remaining issue that will be merged before the release.
   • Docs will mostly be updated.
   • An OVA will be made available.
   • drupal modules will be pushed to drupal.org. We need to come up with a way to manage this process.
   • Thank you to everyone for contribution. We are shipping!

2. Islandora 8 webinar coming! Registration required.
   Zoom account limits us to 100 connections, and the spots are filling up. Thus, do register if you would like to learn more about Islandora 8 and ask questions.

3. Survey to ship with Islandora 8: "What comes next?"

   The survey will be based on the Islandora 8 Road Map. People can prioritize road map items. The survey will be used as input to prioritize Sprints as well as plan future development. Please complete the survey.

   Ways to sponsor the development of a particular feature should be included in the survey. (1) Funding (2) Developer time (3) Funded by several institutions.

   IR is missing from the Road Map. It is an oversight and will be added. There is an IR MVP.

   We can develop IR feature set without replicating the 7.x code. For instance, we might be able to make use of existing Drupal modules such as bibcite.
