  1. ...

Minutes

  1. Danny boy, Oh Danny boy. The pipes, the pipes are calling!

  2. Adam is going to meet with Archivematica meeting in Michigan in August. He will be going as a Fedora Committer. But would also be willing to carry CLAW requirements with him, if we can outline what they might be.

    • First place of integration is the Format Policy Registry. Interested in whether is should be a microservice in CLAW or perhaps at the API-X level. Then sharable by the Hydra/API-X communities.
    • Import/Export of Bags under the workflow of Fedora/Archivematica integration.
    • The future of the FPR, is that microservices. Outlined in this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfRtZFiRp6U
    • What about an integration of the Archivematica storage service into Fedora.
    • Do the microservices have to be built in a specific framework, or agnostic and used via a more API-X design.
    • One thing we all do (Islandora/Archivematica/Hydra) is our own systems make duplicate calls each in their own language. (ie. generating HOCR, resizing images).
    • Common services have been a theme of the Fedora community for a while now.
    • What are the priorities for a discussion with Archivematica from CLAW perspective. #1 is the FPR and the preservation planning ontology.
  3. Sprint Updates

    • Ben and Bryan have concrete conceptualization of the File and Object Service and are starting on implementing.

    • Diego: Do we want Fedora content to appear like Drupal nodes?

Kirsta: A current challenge is getting people to understand that Fedora is not created using the normal Drupal paths.

Adam: The unification of the Islandora and Drupal systems is one of the big selling features. Drupal developers can just do Drupal developing.

Nick: One of the best parts of demoing the Alpha was using the "Create Content" button.

Adam: One of the issues in the Hydra system, seems to be the difference between Rails structure and Repository structure.

    • Kim and Kirsta: Transcribing the videos, then they will refine it down.

    • Don: Issues getting some of the code to execute against the security audit stuff. But it is coming along.

    • Nick: https://github.com/Islandora-CLAW/CLAW/pull/307 - Semantic versioning for ALL!!!

Then tag all the claw-docker stuff as 1.0.0 and when we move it to use microservices it will go up to 2.0.0

16.04 Ubuntu vagrant is still in process. There is a bug to be worked through.

Differences in setting up the LAMP stack.

      PHP will be 7.0

  4. 3 months of Drupalize.me for 5 users from an anonymous donor, videos being viewed and some notes here

  5. Import/Export meeting

Requirements/use cases. If you have an interest, you should be there. Lurkers allowed.

  6. Issues and permissions

  7. PCDM REST API discussion spec - Review and comment if you'd like.
