(Last 10 Minutes): Roundtable
- Issue Roundup
- https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/1887 - agressive filter conditions affecting the form for google tag manager. seth has solution but wonders if it should be generalized more - like maybe we should make the conditions not required. looking for feedback
- https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/1888 - jonathan hunt found errors in the update hook. reporting the issue but no one looking into a fix yet. jonathan might come up with a PR. if you do update your islandora, you might run into this.
- https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/1889 - nothing actually broken here, it was just that the default configuration is set to not allow date intervals. perhaps this should be changed in the defaults. kristina says yes. we just need a PR to change this. eli will submit PR for switching the default config. the issue is that if you enable allowing intervals then you forbid the ability to have times. jordan wonders if moving to the new EDTF library (from professionalWiki) (like we did for search) for validation would allow us to use both of them at the same time. https://github.com/ProfessionalWiki/EDTF. seth suggests we might want two formatter options - one that is custom but allows configuration and one that is from professionalWiki which allows no configuration and is more opinionated.
- https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/1892 - newest version of docker desktop (2) has different docker-compose syntax that isle does not comply with. associated PR https://github.com/Islandora-Devops/isle-dc/pull/183 basically adds to the readme how to disables the v2 syntax. the PR only adjusts the readme. don says he'll take care of the documentation PR but its a larger issue of changing the syntax in the docker-compose.
- PR Roundup
- https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/pull/1891 - Rosie and Mirko Hanke have been providing feedback. Melissa has addressed all of the issues so we think its ready for Rosie and/or Mirko to review + merge.
- https://github.com/Islandora-Devops/isle-dc/pull/183 - discussed above with https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/1892
- Added by Jenna - new Github meeting pages needed for Sept. 1st onwards - Melissa will take care of this. Like to have a bunch in advance in case we want to mark things to re-review.
- Question from Kristina - what are we calling this thing? Islandora 8 2.0? Islandora 2.0.0? what is the messaging? We need an answer from the foundation. We are fairly certain the "8" has been removed. What about renaming branches? TAG should discuss but open to suggestions from committers. Alexander suggests that Drupal + Composer suggests have 2.x branch and then tagged releases like 2.0 and 2.1, etc. As committers, we'll need to shift the branch names. Unsure if we want to follow the same convention for non-Drupal components - we currently juse use main/dev on those. Consensus is to leave non-Drupal components as they are but that we'll need to update the branch names on the Drupal components. Dev-like branches will be "2.x" - TAG will prepare a proposal on this.
