Description
This issue is intended to aggregate the issues related to balancing and adding ores, gems and any other rare mineable resources player can find underground. I am fairly convinced that underground should be balanced as a whole, to avoid oversaturation and undersaturation of different Z levels with different deposits and to make sure that each material has something special about it.
This issue can be used to better keep track of ideas that were discarded and those that were deemed viable.
It is intended to encourage focusing on what we want not what we have to compromise on right now.
Below you can find list of mineable resource ideas. Positions that are checked are already present in the game. Position that are crossed out were deemed unfit for the game.

My personal opinion is that each of those resources should get its own issue to keep track of current and planned state of modifiers, spawn rules and any other related ideas and those issues should all be reachable from this issue to simplify navigation.
I will do my best to keep the description up to date with the discussion, actively crossing out discarded ideas and adding new ones.
