This issue is a proposal to add steel (based on A2 tool steel) to the game.

Physical properties:

• hardness in Mohs scale: 4-5
• density (at 20° C): 7.86 g/cm3

In game properties:

• craftable (either directly or via dedicated station) from iron and coal
• steel provides more durability than iron
• steel is lighter than iron, so has lower swing times
• steel has same damage as iron equivalent

I don't think we need this.
I don't see a compelling use case for an iron variant that just takes more coal (an abundant resource) and is slightly stronger.
(Could just make iron stronger directly, right?)
