  • Includes PHP unit tests.
• Requires testing.
• Jordan: When you delete media it doesn't delete the file entity.
• Alexander: File with 0 refs remaining, would drupal cron take care of it?

• Seth: Solr wasn't getting updated because it was getting skipped in make local.
  • Nigel brought up that maybe we should rethink how some of this is done.
• Annie: Because islandora defualts isn't used anymore in the starter site - that was what the function was looking for and all it would do is set the solr server.
  • Instead of looking for defaults, looking for search api module.
• Seth: Addressed by PR 258 on buildkit, now merged.
  • This is more broad, looking at how we use the utilities script in the image in the first place.

• Alex: Solutions presented are often idiosyncratic to particular input data and the specific process of that institution. Not sure if other people have the import as pdf source that they do.
  • Are there parts of this that may be reusable?
• Seth: Not a lot of detail about where they store the bounding box information.
• Alex: Sounds similar to UTSC separate microservice that comes with the sass simple annotation service. It's a java web application. Solr can also be used as a backend for that.

• Alex: Crayfits exists just bc we were iterating quickly when building the rdm site so it was easier to have its own repository for it. But there's not good reason for it to exist, it's an extraneous isle image, so happy to remove it.
  • Symfony, silex stuff needs to be up to date for that to not be an issue.

  • Seth: We did talk about xdebug at islandoracon, not sure if it was with ISLE?

• Yamil: Want to share a potential speed boost for ISLE2 on macOS with M1 chip:

  • Turning on experimental feature enable virtual fs use new virtualization framework.
  • Cuts installation time from an hour to 15 min.
  • Mac OS Monterey 12.3
  • Not sure how long we can support intel chips?
    • Alex: Did a build on an intel chip for the make starter site recently, so still works.
