- PR Roundup- Link sorted by recently updated
- Feel free to add more, or add something from Islandora Discussions
- Next week Town Hall replaces the Tech Call - Rosie will be speaking on the Islandora Defaults modularization project
https://github.com/Islandora-Devops/isle-dc/issues/264
- Willow: What would that require? To have a composer reference to make sure that module is installed an enabled?
- Alan: Haven't run into this. It's been a while since install_local_profile branch.
- Seth: Ideally, default is where the main development happens, but this work has been on this branch for a long time.
- Alan: A lot of backward changes, bringing branches up to speed.
- Install profile demo works well.
https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/2122
-
Jordan: Similar issues from same contributor - issues seem related to the Drupal install not islandora
-
here's how we would suggest to build an islandora
-
Will: Is there a better channel to ask?
-
Seth: Need for more context, consolidating tickets
-
Isabella to follow up with email + contact information to reach out
-
Willow: Should we add items from the islandora listserv each week?
- π from call, Isabella will add an events/announcements section to template
https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/2123
- Seth: The PR i made makes progress on this but if you spin up islandora defaults you won't necessarily have it.
- Have to make sure it fits exactly the need of this use case.
- Seth: Going to leave issue open until we have a more obvious solutioln that meets the user story more closely.
- Alan: I've been using that one in production and it works really well
- it would be nice to set up filters that would work
- check if media has original file, if it is and is of this content type and doesn't have these derivatives --> do something
- VBO: Views Bulk Operations
https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/2108
- Isabella: I think this can be closed, will comment.
https://github.com/Islandora/jsonld/issues/61
- Willow: Where is this triggered?
- Seth: jsonLD serializes the metadata from the RDF module. This is what Fedora and tirples store grab to do their indexing.
- Not sure what's triggering it specifically but these warnings are getting thrown about ID issues.
https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/2118
- These updates are within the documentation repository.
- Isabella to follow up, create doc for Contributing to collab on next Tech Call.
- To comment with the comparison of files as well as a google doc, put it in the next Tech agenda.
https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/2119
- Rosie: Looks like it needs to go in that module which would make it really weird islandora behaviour.
- I feel like there should be a hook it goes into.
- Seth: They don't use that hook for metadata anymore.
- We don't have a good RDF map base serialization of those type of relations.
- Rosie: Have we looked into getting RDF and linked agent fields to work together?
- Rosie: RDF module is probably not flexible - it's making assumptions you're using Drupal fields.
- Rosie: You can map your linked agent field. But you probably want to put dc contributor.
- Put this in documentation for OAI-PMH.
https://github.com/Islandora-Devops/isle-dc/pull/215
- Depending on your version of Solr, optimize is a feature that isn't always on/available.
- So if you make a call to optimize, the message return acts like it fails but its fine.
- Don to follow up with Yamil's comment, wants to test first.
https://github.com/Islandora-Devops/isle-dc/pull/265
- Don's PR: If the file exists, it imports it.
- Most people are just adding commands to the make file and that becomes a mess when you pull upstream from the community
- Yamil to test
https://github.com/Islandora-Devops/isle-dc/pull/213
- tested and reviewed by Yamil π
https://github.com/Islandora-Devops/isle-dc/pull/248
- Don: Noah has put on an update that this is ready to test.
- Steps: make clean, make local install profile, make local
Dependabot PRs
- Alexander: Guzzle should be treated as semi-urgent since its a part of Durpal.org. We've deployed it with no problem on non-islandora sites.
- Needs to be done for each microservice.
- Rosie: I don't know how to test these things?
- Alexander: Dependabots will only offer clear merges, has pulled it down rerun.
- Merge them all and test by microservice?
- Seth: It's passing the tests that have been written for it - are our tests good enough to be catching things?
