…#6584) (#6636) Devin rejected histories where several progress/final outputs for one tool call became separate tool prompts with the same call id. Consecutive results sharing a call id now merge into one prompt, keeping chunk order, images and error markers; any intervening message or a different id keeps chronological slots, and the parsed request is not mutated. Narrowed carry of #6584: consolidation never crosses an intervening turn. Co-authored-by: lidi1011 <283302260+lidi1011@users.noreply.github.com>
…#6638) Batched web_search results were joined and then cut at 8,000 characters, dropping later queries and their sources, and the structured path sliced serialized JSON into an invalid document. Plan the budget per query before serialization, mark omissions with original sizes outside the untrusted boundary, keep structured output valid JSON, and condense to status lines with per-status tallies when a call has too many queries. Fixes #6621
…#6626) The seven localized lifecycle pages carried the busy-lease paragraph in English. Each now has it in its own language, keeping both error strings verbatim, the PID-reuse caveat and the 30-second reclaim rule.
* fix(logs): label decode estimates by timing basis * fix(logs): preserve stacked labels across stylesheet load order * fix(logs): name decode timing methods in plain language Rename the timing-basis labels so they describe how the estimate was timed rather than its age: "Generation window", "After visible output" and "Timing unknown", with matching request-detail labels. Request details now show a visible one-line explanation of the method under the rate. Numbers stay on one line; captions wrap without breaking words. All eleven locales, the docs and the structure contract are updated, and the existing timing-basis test covers the hint for every branch. --------- Co-authored-by: luvs01 <27862058+luvs01@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: JUN <jun@lidgeai.com>
* fix(messages): enforce scoped advisor destinations * fix(messages): keep temporary inline Advisor changes in admission scope A system message with a temporary clear_at still covers the current turn. Count its tool additions, honor only permanent removals, and keep a declaration shadowed by a temporary replacement in scope. * docs(messages): describe turn-scoped Advisor changes as defensive handling --------- Co-authored-by: luvs01 <27862058+luvs01@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: JUN <jun@lidgeai.com>
* fix(gui): clarify native login switch guidance and manual retry * fix(gui): plain-language native login switch guidance Tighten the confirmation steps and recovery copy so each line names a concrete action: close native Codex on the server computer, select the checkbox, confirm, then reopen. Error copy drops lock and ownership internals while keeping the rule that a missing response is not a rollback, and the retry hint reads as conditional because the same notice covers profile-save failures. The error and result notices use a native-main-notice class instead of inline display styles. All locales, the guide and existing native-main tests are updated. * test(gui): assert the native notice hidden guard instead of UA hidden styling happy-dom ships no [hidden] display rule, so a hidden div still computes as block once :not([hidden]) stops matching. Assert the stylesheet guard that lets the browser's hidden rule win instead. --------- Co-authored-by: luvs01 <27862058+luvs01@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: JUN <jun@lidgeai.com>
… pool entries (#6624) * fix(codex): synchronize manual account pause across matching main and pool entries * refactor(codex): keep linked account pause changes in backend * fix(codex): bound linked pause identity reads and allow pool-only homes Read the main auth file through the bounded reader under the pinned claim path, keep pool-only pause/resume working when the Codex home is absent or holds an API-key-only login, and fail closed on unreadable or malformed main credentials. Sync the six translated management API rows. * fix(codex): refuse linked pause when main tokens name different members * docs(codex): fix linked pause identity sentence * refactor(codex): keep API-key-only main recognition inside the pause module Revert the shared auth-collision reader to dev and recognize a valid API-key-only auth.json through the same bounded reader in the pause group, so the change stays off the restricted credential surface. --------- Co-authored-by: JUN <jun@lidgeai.com>
* fix(cli): cover the bounded startup health probe read * docs(cli): synchronize startup health read budgets in translations * fix(cli): pass the startup-health read deadline to the direct local transport The attested reader asked for 16.5 seconds on Windows, but the direct transport kept its own 10-second exchange bound, so a cold 10-15 second service probe still fell back to local diagnostics. The read client now forwards the caller deadline to the default transport. Capability, proof, and PID/port binding are unchanged. * docs(cli): add the startup-health read budget to the fr, tr and zh-tw lifecycle pages --------- Co-authored-by: JUN <jun@lidgeai.com>
) * docs(claude): describe retained picker trust and platform safeguards * fix(claude): guard local CA files and Windows credential ACLs * fix(claude): reuse approved picker authority across desktop restarts * test: isolate default-home fixtures and cover shim observation deadlines * fix(claude): keep refused picker cleanup free of signing credentials * test(claude): remove unused relative import from restart child
…#6592) (#6637) Root `bun run typecheck` never parses gui/ (no project references), and fork pull requests do not run the CI "GUI build" step, so a gui compile error could reach review unseen (#6471). prepush now runs scripts/typecheck-gui-if-changed.ts right after the root typecheck: it runs `tsc -b` in gui/ with the launching bun when the branch's diff against upstream/dev, origin/dev or dev touches gui/, and runs it anyway when no base resolves or the diff fails. Carried from #6485 and #6592 by @lcxhh521 as one maintainer change. Review follow-ups: the diff disables rename detection so a file moved out of gui/ still triggers the check, and the tests use a Bun compiler stub with a distinctive exit code plus a missing-executable case instead of `false`, which native Windows does not provide. * fix(responses): sanitize terminal replacement diagnostics * test(responses): include terminal replacement owner in source inventory * fix(responses): withhold unresolved entities and mask scalar credentials Terminal reset-replacement diagnostics could still carry the selected credential in two forms the bounded mask missed: an unresolved named HTML reference (which folds to an opaque placeholder of unknown decoded width, e.g. + or fj) and a JSON number/boolean/null whose text equals the credential. Withhold a diagnostic whose fold contains the placeholder, and redact matching scalars while unmatched scalars keep their types. Regression cases cover both adapters in the existing confidentiality block. * fix(responses): withhold diagnostics with undecoded encoding syntax The bounded credential matcher decodes JSON \u escapes, percent escapes, lowercase-x numeric references and semicolon-terminated named references. Other forms (JSON short escapes such as \/, uppercase-X or unterminated numeric references, legacy named references without a semicolon) stayed literal, so a credential spelled through them could not be matched. When such syntax remains in the final matching view, withhold the diagnostic. Unrelated query strings (a=1&b=2) are preserved. * fix(responses): withhold any residual reference start in terminal diagnostics Enumerating semicolon-less HTML references left gaps (a legacy & before letters or "=", or a long run). Withhold the terminal diagnostic whenever an '&' followed by a letter or '#', or a JSON short escape, remains in the final matching view. Over-withholding is accepted on this terminal-only path. Adds both-adapter coverage for malformed and over-nested JSON, array bodies, non-2xx SSE, and dropped upstream headers; records the policy in the responses structure doc. * fix(responses): withhold encoded terminal diagnostics instead of decoding A bounded decoder cannot be proven equivalent to every client decoder; review found a truncated UTF-8 percent sequence that folded differently from decodeURIComponent. On the terminal non-replayable projection, withhold any diagnostic string containing percent, JSON-escape or HTML reference syntax (checked before and after a lookalike-only fold with escape decoding off). Plain and lookalike echoes are still masked in place. Reverts the NAMED_ENTITY_PLACEHOLDER export, which no longer has a consumer. * fix(responses): withhold non-ASCII terminal diagnostics Review found Unicode lookalikes (uppercase Greek alpha, ligatures, zero-width splits) that the confusable fold maps differently from the credential, leaving a visually recoverable credential. No fold can be proven equivalent to a reader, so the terminal projection now withholds any diagnostic string containing encoding syntax or a character outside printable ASCII, and otherwise relies on exact replacement of the selected credential. * fix(responses): withhold upstream text from terminal replacement errors Five review rounds each found another way a selected credential survived redaction while upstream diagnostic text was preserved (encodings, Unicode lookalikes, HTML markup, JSON number normalization, marker overlap). No bounded redaction can be proven complete against a client's decoders, so the terminal non-replayable projection now forwards no upstream body text: it keeps the real status, non-replayability, an allowlisted error type and x-should-retry: false, and returns a fixed message. The shared credential mask in terminal-error-redaction.ts returns to its dev form. The confidentiality matrix covers both adapters with every hostile diagnostic shape found in review and asserts the exact generic body, two physical sends, and the spent replacement grant. * test(responses): assert combo restates only the sanitized terminal projection The combo owner reformats a consumed child failure, so the exact generic body is not the combo contract; assert the generic phrase survives, the upstream diagnostic and credential do not, and the terminal stop keeps two sends. * fix(responses): generic message for every marked origin; allowlist error code Responses are marked non-replayable by more than reset replacements (WS socket death, compaction, unsafe run-turn activity), so the withheld-text message now says "for a non-replayable failure". A closed allowlist of machine error codes (context_length_exceeded, rate_limit_exceeded, ...) is kept alongside the allowlisted type so clients retain an actionable signal. Updates the two hosted-CI failures that asserted relayed upstream text on marked responses (console-go upload boundary, WS pool-mode replacement 400). --------- Co-authored-by: luvs01 <27862058+luvs01@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: JUN <jun@lidgeai.com>
) * fix(codex): enforce stored-account credit policy through dispatch Enforce credits-after-limit for exact stored selectors, credential acquisition, materialization, forced refresh copies and physical Responses sends. Map late policy refusals without credential quarantine and release unused recovery resources. Preserve spend-control parsing and independent main/Reserve policy. Co-authored-by: Devin AI <158243242+devin-ai-integration[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(codex): recheck stored credit policy before sidecar sends * fix(codex): release probe leases on late credit-policy refusals Two policy refusals could leave a held pool probe behind: a credit hold that lands after header materialization in resolveResponsesCodexAuth (authCtx was scoped inside the try, so the catch could not release it), and a hold thrown by applyCodexAuthContextToProvider in prepareResponsesRequest, which had no mapper and escaped as a rejection instead of the actionable 429. Hoist the context and release it in the catch; wrap provider materialization, release, map to 429 (499 when cancelled), and rethrow unknown errors. Deterministic regressions in responses-pool-401-refresh cover both boundaries for quota and transient probes, cancellation, unknown errors, and the success path that keeps the probe for dispatch. * fix(codex): let cancellation win over post-refresh credit refusals After a successful pool 401 refresh, a credit hold raised by the refreshed materialization was mapped to a 429 even when the client had already aborted. Check the request and effective signals first in both the Responses and compact refresh catches and return 499 without quarantine. Adds deterministic cancellation cases for request and effective signals on /v1/responses and the compact path; the non-aborted case now also asserts Retry-After. --------- Co-authored-by: luvs01 <27862058+luvs01@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Devin AI <158243242+devin-ai-integration[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: JUN <jun@lidgeai.com>
…6605) * fix(gui): require one-use config write intent for standalone pairing Bind standalone pairing to a random in-memory verifier and an owner-written digest commitment, consumed before grant creation. Preserve headless CLI delivery and existing pairing/Child safeguards; fence mixed CLI/server contracts at v2. Document path restrictions and cleanup limits, and exercise concurrent consumption and recovery. Co-authored-by: Devin AI <158243242+devin-ai-integration[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(gui): serialize pairing intent consumption on Windows * fix(gui): make pairing cleanup failure paths explicit * docs(structure): keep the pairing delivery section within the 600-line budget after the dev refresh * docs(structure): move standalone pairing delivery into remote-link.md to keep gui-and-management-api.md within budget * fix(gui): verify Windows pairing intent ownership and ACL at redemption On Windows, consuming a standalone pairing intent now requires that the intent directory and the record are owned by the serving account (or by Administrators when that is the token's default owner and the role is enabled) and carry a protected DACL with exactly one ordinary Full Control allow entry for the serving account. The check reads the raw security descriptor through the trusted PowerShell executable with a fixed encoded script and environment-only paths, runs only after the record matched its proof and under the consume lock, then re-checks directory and record identity before unlinking. Anything that cannot be verified refuses; redemption never repairs permissions or ownership. Publication keeps its required hardening. Regression cases live in the existing gui-pair-delivery test file; structure and remote-link guides document the rule, the refusal, and the remaining limits. * fix(gui): state the Windows pairing ACL policy as the effective DACL and keep verifier output ASCII Get-Acl returns a .NET-canonicalized descriptor (same-principal entries merge, entries that grant nothing drop; another principal's entry and the owner are never changed), so the structure doc, guides, comments and test names now state the effective-DACL policy instead of promising raw on-disk bytes. The native regression also adds a container inherit-only entry for another principal, which must refuse. The verifier script switches console output to ASCII before writing, so a UTF-8 console code page cannot prefix the line protocol with a byte-order mark. The native test first runs the real verifier on a clean intent and reports its protocol output if it is refused. * fix(gui): accept SYSTEM and Administrators entries beside the serving account's Full Control Native CI showed that a hardened intent directory on a Windows runner carries explicit, protected Full Control entries for SYSTEM and BUILTIN\Administrators next to the serving account's entry, which the one-entry rule refused. The verifier now requires the serving account's own Full Control allow entry and also accepts one plain allow entry each for SYSTEM and Administrators. LocalSystem and an elevated administrator can already take ownership of any object, and a filtered administrator token holds Administrators only as deny-only, so those entries add no authority. Any other grantee, duplicate, deny, callback or inherited entry still refuses, and ownership checks are unchanged. --------- Co-authored-by: Devin AI <158243242+devin-ai-integration[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: luvs01 <27862058+luvs01@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: JUN <jun@lidgeai.com>
* fix(gui): delete and reveal API keys from the key table The key table that replaced the rail kept delete only inside the detail pane, behind a name that did not read as a link, so operators hovered the row, found nothing, and concluded a key could not be removed. Every row now has a visible delete button with an in-place two-step confirm. Clicking a key now shows its full value with a Copy button. The value comes from a new POST /api/keys/reveal that only a dashboard session may call and that answers no-store; the list payload still carries prefixes only. * test(gui): allow the French action-column label that matches English * fix(gui): report row copy failures and stop promising a key is shown once
…ing unchanged files (#6645) * fix(claude): migrate legacy Windows local-CA ACLs and memoize inspection per publication * fix(claude): never memoize inherited-level ACL results and retire replaced identities * fix(claude): retire a temp identity on every confirmed removal; reset hardener caches in refusal cases * fix(claude): key local-CA ACL memo by creation time, skip redundant owner probes, classify picker metadata symlinks as unsafe * fix(claude): read local-CA ACLs with .NET only so PowerShell never autoloads cmdlets * test(claude): match the canonical picker metadata path in the substitution case * test(cli): give Windows sibling-home startups a 25 s watchdog inside the 30 s test budget
…#6651) * fix(gui): read pairing-intent ACLs with .NET so PowerShell never autoloads Get-Acl * test(gui): pin the pairing ACL script to .NET-only descriptor reads
…ervice graph on Windows (#6661)
…tly; size cold-start test budgets (#6670) * ci: run the Windows shards on Windows-sensitive pull requests, nightly on dev, with a shared PowerShell module cache Co-authored-by: lane B9 (Codex) * ci: select every scope on the nightly schedule so it is the full matrix * ci: keep pull-request Windows shards advisory and render the schedule override in scope tests * ci(windows): drop the PowerShell cache seed and require the shards on sensitive PRs The first run with the seed timed out seven of nine Windows shards, while a dev dispatch without it had one failure. Test sandboxes keep the runner's LOCALAPPDATA, so PowerShell 5.1 children already read the image's warm module-analysis cache; pinning PSModuleAnalysisCachePath to a seed that the prewarm step stops waiting on as soon as it is non-empty swapped that warm cache for a partial one, and every child re-analyzed modules. With the cause removed the shards no longer need to be advisory: a Windows-sensitive pull request now requires them the same way dispatch and the nightly schedule do. * test(settings): size isolated child budgets with the CI watchdog The isolated settings children cold-import the management API graph. On Windows CI that takes 2-5 s, and the first child of a busy batch took over 10 s in run 37447563941, so the flat 10 s spawnSync bound killed a healthy child. Use watchdogMs like the other subprocess suites, and derive the per-test bound from it: spawnSync blocks the loop, so the test has to outlast the child it waits on. Local runs keep the old 10 s / 15 s values. * test(native-main): budget the owner child's cold start separately The contender case failed twice on Windows dev dispatches (37316384711, 37447563941) with "child event timeout after 45000ms; events=[]". The test finished at 55.6 s, which is only possible if that same child answered the cleanup "stop" command within seconds of the timeout; a wedged child would have held stop() for another 45 s. So the child was slow to reach "listening" while cold-importing the server graph on a busy shard, and then healthy. Give the listening waits twice the event budget and add one startup allowance to the per-test budget; every later wait is unchanged. * test(claude-picker): size restart child budgets with the CI watchdog "fresh production restarts retain fingerprint" failed at exactly 10 s on Windows in three runs (37360604391, 37443819560, 37449564955): its first child cold-imports the intercept runtime and mints the picker CA under a flat 10 s spawnSync bound, while a neighbouring case in the same file takes 8.5 s on that runner. Use watchdogMs for every child here, bound the previously unbounded predecessor child too, and give each multi-child test a per-test bound that covers all of its children.

Priority: ➖ Normal Estimated code review effort: 5 (Critical) | ~90 minutes Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to The release adds persistent macOS picker credentials. If Keychain access is denied once, the picker can stay disabled on every later start unless a file is deleted by hand. An unsafe picker directory can also turn off Claude interception entirely. Nightly CI can also share caches with main. Address the picker recovery issues before merging. 🚥 Pre-merge checks | ✅ 4 | ❓ 1❌ Failed checks (1 inconclusive)

oven-sh/setup-bun action pinned v2 0c5077e51419868618aeaa5fe8019c62421857d6 cache implementation action.yml actions/cache
💡 Result:
**At commit `0c5077e51419868618aeaa5fe8019c62421857d6` (release `v2.2.0`), `setup-bun` has built-in caching for the Bun executable—not Bun package dependencies.** Its `action.yml` defines `no-cache` (default `false`), exposes a `cache-hit` output, and wires a post-step, `dist/cache-save/index.js`, to save the executable cache after success. The `action.yml` does **not** call `actions/cache`; caching is implemented by the bundled action code. ([github.com](https://github.com/oven-sh/setup-bun/blob/0c5077e51419868618aeaa5fe8019c62421857d6/action.yml))
So you generally don’t need a separate `actions/cache` step just to cache Bun itself. If you want to cache dependencies (such as Bun’s install cache or `node_modules`), configure that separately; the README describes the action’s cache output as indicating whether the Bun executable was read from cache. ([github.com](https://github.com/oven-sh/setup-bun/blob/main/README.md?utm_source=openai))
The published `action.yml` points to bundled `dist` files, so it establishes where caching runs, but not the precise cache key, path, or restore/save logic. Those details require inspecting the bundled implementation at that exact commit. ([github.com](https://github.com/oven-sh/setup-bun/blob/0c5077e51419868618aeaa5fe8019c62421857d6/action.yml))

At oven-sh/setup-bun commit 0c5077e51419868618aeaa5fe8019c62421857d6 inspect action.yml and dist/cache-save/index.js: what exact files/paths are cached, cache key inputs, and can repository job steps alter cached content before post-save? Also official GitHub Actions cache scope docs: can caches written by schedule workflow on default branch be restored by push workflow on same default branch?
💡 Result:
At commit `0c5077e51419868618aeaa5fe8019c62421857d6`, `action.yml` registers `dist/cache-save/index.js` as a **post** action, run only on success. The bundled saver caches Bun’s executable directory and Bun’s package-install cache—not your project’s `node_modules` or lockfile. The key is built from the installed Bun version, platform, architecture, and two Boolean cache/configuration flags; the lockfile is not a key input. ([raw.githubusercontent.com](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/oven-sh/setup-bun/0c5077e51419868618aeaa5fe8019c62421857d6/action.yml))
**Can job steps change what gets saved? Yes.** The saver runs after the job’s ordinary steps, so steps can modify files under those cache paths before the post-save runs. That means the saved snapshot reflects the directory contents at save time, not necessarily what was there when setup ran. This is an inference from the post-action timing and the paths the saver uses. ([raw.githubusercontent.com](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/oven-sh/setup-bun/0c5077e51419868618aeaa5fe8019c62421857d6/action.yml))
**Schedule → push on the default branch: yes.** GitHub’s docs say caches are branch-scoped and shareable across workflow runs for the same repository and branch. Both `schedule` and `push` are permitted to write in the default-branch scope, so a default-branch scheduled workflow’s cache can be restored by a default-branch push workflow, assuming the cache key and cache version match. Disable setup-bun caching for scheduled runs.
The schedule runs the workflow from main, but test jobs check out the resolved dev SHA and use that tree’s setup-project-bun action (.github/workflows/ci.yml:71-76, 528-549, 591-616). The pinned oven-sh/setup-bun saves the Bun executable and package-install cache after the job steps. GitHub gives schedule runs the default-branch cache scope, so a successful scheduled run can save dev-derived cache contents that a later main push can restore when the cache-key inputs match.
Set no-cache for schedules in the composite action and in the direct setup-bun call used by the scheduled widget job. The composite-action setting must be present in the dev version that the schedule checks out.

Disable Bun caching for scheduled runs by setting the schedule-dependent
no-cache option in the setup-project-bun composite action and the direct
setup-bun step in the scheduled widget job; ensure the composite-action change

📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | 💤 Low value
Guard the reveal body shape before reading body.key.
Line 337 casts res.json() to { key?: unknown }. Line 338 then reads body.key. A 200 response with a null JSON body is valid JSON. In that case, body.key throws a TypeError. The catch block on Line 339 converts the error to null, so the user does not see a crash. Even so, the handler skips the shared readJsonIfOk validation that the rest of this file uses. Use the existing helper so this handler follows the same pattern as the others.

A failed first credential write leaves the persistent picker disabled on every later start.
On first initialization, the code writes authority-init.json with flag: "wx" (Line 89). It then calls writePickerCaCredential (Line 90).
writePickerCaCredential throws picker_ca_store_unavailable when entry.setPassword fails. On macOS this happens when the user denies or cancels the Keychain access prompt, or when the keychain is locked. The comment on Line 88 keeps the journal on purpose. The next start then sees this state:
raw === null, because nothing was stored.journal !== null, because the journal survived.
Line 84 throws picker_ca_store_missing. This repeats on every start. startClaudeIntercept logs picker authority unavailable (picker_ca_store_missing), and the picker never recovers. The only recovery is to delete claude-picker/authority-init.json by hand. No error text tells the user to do that.
That state is provably safe to restart from:
publishMetadataandpublish(Lines 102–103) run only after the credential write. Sometadata === nullproves that no certificate, owner, or pending-untrust record was published for the journaled authority.getPassword() === nullproves that no credential exists.
Suggested fix: in the raw === null branch, when journal && !metadata, remove the stale journal and continue with creation. Keep the metadata-present case fail-closed.

`ensurePickerCa` where the first credential write fails and the next persistent
startup-rotation call succeeds.

discardPickerCaKey now throws, and the second startup call turns that into a full intercept failure.
The new ownership check throws picker_ca_directory_unsafe in two cases:
claude-picker/is not a real directory, for example a symlink.claude-picker/is owned by another uid, for example after the user ransudo ocx ...once.
startClaudeIntercept handles this correctly in one place only:
src/claude/intercept/runtime.ts, Line 161 wraps the first call intry.src/claude/intercept/runtime.ts, Line 216 callsdiscardPickerCaKey(configDir)again inside the outertry(Lines 213–349) without its own guard. The outercatchcloses the picker proxy, the intercept proxy, and the listener, then rethrows.
On macOS with loadPickerRoutes set, an unsafe picker directory therefore disables the whole Claude Code intercept, not only the picker. The other picker-authority failures in the same block set pickerBlocked = true and keep the intercept running (Lines 235–244).
Suggested fix: treat this error like the other picker-authority failures at the caller.
Proposed change in src/claude/intercept/runtime.ts
- discardPickerCaKey(configDir);
+ let pickerBlocked = false;
+ try { discardPickerCaKey(configDir); }

+ const code = error instanceof Error && PICKER_AUTHORITY_ERROR_CODES.has(error.message) ? error.message : null;
+ console.warn(`⚠ Claude Desktop picker disabled: picker authority unavailable${code ? ` (${code})` : ""}`);
+ }Then drop the later let pickerBlocked = false; declaration, and skip the preparation try when pickerBlocked is already true.

In startClaudeIntercept, guard the second discardPickerCaKey call so
picker-authority errors set pickerBlocked and pickerReason, while keeping the
Claude intercept running; skip picker preparation when pickerBlocked is already
true, and reuse the existing picker failure handling.

…ives (#6681) ocx ensure spawned a detached ocx start and gave up after a flat 8 s, printing "Proxy did not become healthy after starting." and exiting 1. A cold start can take longer on a busy Windows host: the candidate dispatch for 2.79.0 (run 37455044893, windows 5/9) failed "a secondary ensure parent preserves shared Grok, Codex and Claude agent bytes" this way, and the Codex shim and autostart call the same path, so users saw a failure for a proxy that came up moments later. While the spawned child is alive, ensure now waits up to 40 s, the same follow-up budget the service start already uses. Once the child has exited it keeps the old 8 s bound, so a start that failed outright is reported no later than before. The wait loop moves to src/cli/ensure-readiness.ts with a fake-clock regression test.
"native open and non-readiness events cannot claim readiness" shortened the product's 15 s ready timeout to 20 ms. The timer starts before the socket opens, so on a loaded runner it fired before the client sent session.update, and the expected [session.update, session.close] came back empty (macOS control, run 37457452698). Use isolationBudgetMs, the helper for exactly this: 20 ms locally, a 5 s floor under CI or the full suite.
…em (#6678) * docs(devlog): plan realtime ExistingCall sideband join compatibility * docs(devlog): fold plan audit residuals for ExistingCall join * fix(live): join client-created voice calls as the caller that owns them ChatGPT voice can hand a live call to a Codex thread, and Codex Desktop creates the call itself when its renderer owns it. In both cases the WebRTC call is created with the caller's own ChatGPT login and only the V3 existingCall sideband join reaches opencodex. In Pool mode the join was re-authenticated with a Pool-selected account, so it reached the upstream as a different ChatGPT account and Codex reported 502 realtime websocket handshake failed. Record the call ids handleLive creates (extracted from the create Location the way openai/codex reads it) and, for a join to any other call, forward the caller's explicit ChatGPT credential through the Direct passthrough. Calls created through opencodex keep Pool selection and thread affinity (#35830). * docs: describe caller-owned voice sideband joins * test(layout): keep layout.json under the file-size threshold * test(live): require Pool selection for a mismatched caller credential
) * ci(windows): read the source tree once before the Windows shards test On a fresh Windows runner the first process to load a module graph pays a first-read cost for every file it touches; later processes load the same graph in 2-5 s. Dev dispatches showed proxy children taking 10-45 s when they were first in their shard to read that graph, and the failure moved to whichever timed assertion read it first (settings, native-main owner, Claude picker restart, web-search switch and sibling ensure cases). Read every src, tests, scripts and root node_modules source file once in a step before the batches, outside any timed test. The step loads no module and writes nothing, logs the file count and elapsed time, and only warns if it fails. * test(runner): share Bun's transpiler cache across sandboxed homes Bun keeps its runtime transpiler cache under the home directory (verified with Bun 1.4.0: HOME=<dir> writes <dir>/Library/Caches/bun/@t@ on macOS). createIsolatedTestEnvironment points HOME and USERPROFILE at a fresh root per batch, and many fixtures give their children their own HOME, so the first child in each batch or fixture re-transpiled every large module; 73 src files are over Bun's 50 KB cache threshold. On busy Windows shards that first child took 10-45 s where later children took 2-5 s, and the failure moved to whichever timed case spawned it. Pin BUN_RUNTIME_TRANSPILER_CACHE_PATH to one shared directory under the host temp dir, captured before HOME moves, as GIT_CONFIG_GLOBAL already is. An explicit value, including one that disables the cache, is kept. The name stays outside the opencodex-test-* pattern stale-root recovery reclaims. This replaces the source-file warm step from the previous commit: it read 7551 files in under a second on a Windows shard, so file first-read cost is not where the time goes. * ci(windows): drop the source-file warm step It read 7551 files in under a second on a Windows shard (run 37460969003), so file first-read cost is not where the cold-start time goes; the transpiler cache pin in the next-to-last commit addresses the actual cost.

Upgrade notes: Pool-mode users who start voice from ChatGPT or Codex Desktop now join those calls with their own login; accounts that consented to credits keep the 2.78.0 behaviour, now enforced on stored-account dispatch as well; Windows installs migrate the local picker CA ACLs once on first start; standalone pairing from the dashboard now asks for a one-use write intent before changing config.
