on Aug 12, 2026 CollaboratorMore actionsnight-issue-prs: #3172 skipped (no code change).
Triage: intentional utils residuals after batch 8 — PSWorkflowUtilsBase public raw List/Map APIs need explicit source-compat policy; PSXmlSerializationHelper is a larger redesign; remaining casts are scoped helpers. Not a safe unattended strip vs strip-ready batches.
Progress row on this parent updated to skipped. Issue #3172 left open for a future policy/redesign-driven batch (no residual children filed — inventory already on #3172).

on Aug 13, 2026 CollaboratorMore actionsnight-issue-prs: #3172 second residual slice opened as PR #3347 (XmlSer Class<?> + PSCollection className ctor + PSItemIterator asItem). Prior CRTP slice is merged #3277. WorkflowUtilsBase public raw API and inherent Copier/restoreList casts remain policy/inherent.

Description Across the PercussionCMS codebase, multiple modules still report Java compiler (javac) and/or Javadoc errors and warnings during the build. These diagnostics should be cleaned up to improve code quality and maintain a warning-free, documentation-complete build under JDK 21. This issue tracks resolving all remaining javac and javadoc errors and warnings across the repository (not limited to a single module). Module-level cleanups such as #2045 are examples of the work required. Cleaning these issues will improve API documentation consistency and help maintain overall code quality. Expected Result - The full project should build without any javac or javadoc warnings or errors. - All source files should compile cleanly under JDK 21 with the project's -Xlint:all settings. - Public classes, interfaces, methods, constructors, fields, and parameters should contain complete and valid Javadoc. - Javadoc generation should complete cleanly without warnings. Actual Result The project builds with modules that still report javac and/or javadoc diagnostic messages (errors and/or warnings) during compilation and documentation generation. Acceptance Criteria - Resolve all javac and javadoc errors and warnings across all affected modules. - Ensure all public APIs have complete and valid Javadoc. - Verify the project builds successfully with zero javac errors, zero javadoc errors, zero javac warnings, and zero javadoc warnings. - Confirm no regressions are introduced during cleanup.
