The only setup guide for agents that connect to an environment over MCP was a short Claude Code example in the remote-access guide. It said nothing about Codex, ChatGPT or other hosted bots, and nothing about the hosted-agent sign-in from #16718.

This adds docs/user/outside-agents.md:

  • Getting the MCP URL: Copy MCP URL, and which address works where. A hosted agent needs the T3 Connect address, since a Tailscale address is only reachable from your own tailnet.
  • The sign-in page: where access goes for local and hosted agents, approving with a pairing code or as an admin, and the Read only to Full access choice.
  • Per-agent setup: Claude Code (claude mcp add / login), Codex (codex mcp add --url / login), ChatGPT (custom MCP app with OAuth), and any other OAuth-capable agent.
  • Removing an agent: revoking in Settings → Connections, and the 30-day sign-in.

The remote-access section now points to the new guide, and the guide is listed in docs/README.md and the root README.

Clarify the principal for hosted-agent grants.

T3 sends the authorization result to the hosted service's registered redirect host. T3 does not bind this grant to the approving account or workspace. State that the hosted service controls which of its users can use the selected access.

OpenAI’s current documentation limits full MCP, including write actions, to Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans on the web. Pro supports read/fetch access only, and workspace administrators must enable developer mode. Add these prerequisites so users know whether they can create the app and use thread-changing tools. Move OAuth approval before app creation.

OpenAI’s current setup flow completes OAuth during tool scanning, before the user creates the app. This step tells users to create the app first and approve afterward. Move the approval step to the OAuth configuration and tool-scan stage. (help.openai.com)

* fix(release): Forgejo build resolves version-qualified catalog overrides

script looked up the whole selector and failed. Mirrors upstream pingdotgg#16411.

* fix(server): HTML renders and PDFs load behind a proxy that forbids framing

Clients frame asset documents from the environment's origin, which is
often not their own. A reverse proxy that adds X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN
blanked every HTML render and PDF preview in that setup. Inline HTML and
PDF asset responses now carry `frame-ancestors *`, which browsers honour
in place of X-Frame-Options.

* fix(server): desktop renderer may frame asset documents

CSP's `*` matches only http(s) ancestors, so the desktop app's custom
scheme origins are listed explicitly.
