holding shift in the linked pull requests panel now reveals the same quick actions as the prs tab. the panel reuses the existing action runner, merge preferences, pending states, and native stack guard; closed prs offer reopen and drafts offer ready for review. linked prs use the matching repository project's merge preference when that project is available in the environment.

verified in the real web client at 1440×900 and 1100×760 in light and dark themes, including shift release, other modifiers, typing focus, and the existing row menu. close and merge followed the real provider path and returned the expected permission errors on a read-only repository; successful close and merge writes remain unverified.

verified a linked pr from a second repository sends the action through that repository's project.

blacksmith: web typecheck, targeted lint, and 244 existing tests passed.

13-second recording: shift reveals linked pr quick actions and releasing it restores the row menu

linked prs before, with shift held

linked prs after, with shift held

model: gpt-6.1-sol. harness: codex through t3 code.

Approvability

Verdict: Not approved

Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — This adds Shift-activated close, merge, reopen, and ready-for-review actions to linked GitHub pull requests, including project routing and capability gating. It reuses existing action infrastructure and leaves ordinary paths unchanged, but the new externally mutating workflow lacks clear linked-panel test coverage.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The thread pull-request panel now shows speed actions for eligible linked GitHub pull requests. It resolves project context and Shift-only speed mode, and the action component supports generic entries and optional callbacks.

Changes

Thread Pull Request Speed Actions

Layer / File(s) Summary
Speed action entry and callbacks
apps/web/src/components/pullRequest/PullRequestSpeedActions.tsx
The component accepts generic entry data and an optional success callback. The close-action tooltip reflects whether a sweep callback is available.
Thread panel integration
apps/web/src/components/pullRequest/ThreadPullRequestsPanel.tsx
The panel resolves project context and Shift-only speed mode. It creates actions for eligible GitHub pull requests and hides the regular menu when speed actions are active.

Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to c02fc

A linked pull request from another repository could be merged using the thread project’s merge preference. Remove the fallback before merging unless that behavior is explicitly intended.

Security Architecture Review

Security architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to c02fc

Linked pull requests gain immediate remote actions, but existing repository routing, permission checks, and stack protections remain in place. No authorization bypass was established. Successful writes and recovery from partial provider failures remain incompletely verified.

Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.

Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The newly convenient mutation surface includes linked repositories beyond the thread’s own repository. Effective authority remains bounded by the selected environment’s configured provider routes, the existing operate permission, and the provider account’s permissions on the target repository; no new credential authority was established.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — The linked row supplies client-side identity, but the server resolves it against configured projects. Hosted references use a matching target-host route, with exact repository matching required for Azure. The resolved host and repository are used for both viewer-permission checks and provider dispatch. Provider capabilities and viewer action permissions are checked before the write, countering the suspected fallback-project authorization bypass.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — The existing service invalidates cached PR reads before execution and again on completion or failure. It explicitly acknowledges that provider failure can leave partial remote updates. Success requests linked-snapshot synchronization; failures and interruptions do not have a demonstrated atomic rollback guarantee. Periodic synchronization provides an eventual recovery mechanism, but successful writes and end-to-end failure recovery were not verified in this review.

Do not use the thread project’s merge default for an unmatched repository.

When no environment project matches a linked PR from another repository, this fallback supplies the thread project ID. The speed action uses that ID to resolve the project merge default, which takes precedence over the last-selected method. An open, non-draft PR can therefore be merged with a method configured for a different project. Use only the matched project ID; without a match, do not offer the quick action.

* fix(release): Forgejo build resolves version-qualified catalog overrides

Upstream now pins overrides such as undici@^8 to the catalog; the packaging
script looked up the whole selector and failed. Mirrors upstream pingdotgg#16411.

* fix(server): HTML renders and PDFs load behind a proxy that forbids framing

Clients frame asset documents from the environment's origin, which is
often not their own. A reverse proxy that adds X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN
blanked every HTML render and PDF preview in that setup. Inline HTML and
PDF asset responses now carry `frame-ancestors *`, which browsers honour
in place of X-Frame-Options.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(server): desktop renderer may frame asset documents

CSP's `*` matches only http(s) ancestors, so the desktop app's custom
scheme origins are listed explicitly.
