Workbench inventory CD-05 / field catalog. Content-type field rule expressions, apply-when, control properties, and occurrence already ship. Remaining: field display labels are not writable via PUT content-type detail (designGaps code CT_FIELD_LABELS_WRITE on ContentTypeAdaptor.contentTypeDesignGaps).

Slice goal

One user-visible increment: An Admin with a held content-type design lock can set a local field's display label from Developer → Content Types field table; GET round-trip; Playwright + product-docs.

HARD BAN: do not split REST vs SPA vs Playwright. Do not implement template content-type associations (TPL_CONTENT_TYPE_ASSOC, slice 10) or slot association names (SLOT_ASSOC_GUIDS_ONLY, slice 11) in this PR.

In scope

  1. REST + sitemanage adaptor: write field label on PUT content-type detail and/or a dedicated field path if bulk PUT cannot safely carry labels. Local fields only unless peers already allow shared/system label overrides. Held lock required. 409 unlocked / stolen; 403 non-Admin; 404 unknown type/field; 400 blank label if product rejects it.
  2. SPA Content Types field table: editable label after Lock; Save keeps the lock.
  3. Surface-filtered Playwright on QA H2 (perc-devctl qa-up → qa-health → TEST_CMS_URL → npm run test:surface).
  4. Update product-docs/8.2/admin/developer-content-types.md and product-docs/8.2/developer/rest.md. Drop CT_FIELD_LABELS_WRITE from live designGaps when write ships.

Out of scope

  • Template content-type associations (TPL_CONTENT_TYPE_ASSOC)
  • Slot association name resolution (SLOT_ASSOC_GUIDS_ONLY)
  • Field rule expressions / apply-when (already shipped)
  • Shared-field group editor (already shipped)

Acceptance

  • Admin can change a local field display label with a held lock; GET shows the new label
  • Unlocked / locked-by-another is 409; non-Admin 403; unknown type/field 404
  • Playwright surface spec green on QA H2
  • Product-docs match shipped behavior; [8.2] Developer module — post-P0 follow-ons #1690 Agent progress updated; CT_FIELD_LABELS_WRITE gap dropped
