Release list
Transitrix Studio 3.8.1
What's changed
Fixed
- Marketplace/Open VSX readers can now discover Transitrix: Traceability Matrix and Transitrix: Requirements by Release, their command-palette entry points and the six release-quality metrics delivered in 3.8.0. The packaged feature inventory distinguishes these reports from the existing Requirement–Verification Matrix and explains scope, navigation, drill-downs and JSON export.
- Listing screenshots explicitly identify their historical capture version, separately from the installed extension version. Packaging verifies the archived README, changelog and manifest plus retained-media compatibility before release.
Verification
- 857 core tests and 1,886 diagram tests passed.
- Positive and negative listing-guard cases passed.
- Packaged VSIX E2E, metrics regression, CodeQL, public-surface hygiene and PNG comparison passed on the release PR head.
Microsoft Visual Studio Marketplace publication remains excluded; this release uses the existing GitHub Release, Open VSX, npm-idempotent and JetBrains paths.

Transitrix Studio 3.8.0
What's changed
New: release-scoped requirement reports
Studio 3.8.0 delivers two repository reports in VS Code-compatible editors. Open them from the Command Palette:
- Transitrix: Traceability Matrix — select a catalogue, Product, Release, optional Project and as-at date; follow explicit requirement chains upstream, downstream or in both directions; focus by exact ID/name; switch between the full nine-stage matrix and two adjacent stages; move one stage at a time; retain focus and navigation across refreshes; open contributing source records; export the shared projection as JSON.
- Transitrix: Requirements by Release — use the same scope and snapshot to inspect distinct requirement counts by stage and six clickable quality metrics: broken references, no accepted source, no verification definition, no applicable executed result, failed verification, and no effective release assignment. Every count opens its exact contributors and can carry a selected requirement into the matrix.
Unknown or unresolved scope is shown as incomplete, never as zero. Direct and inherited release assignments, other-release-only requirements, invalid assignments and product requirements without an effective release remain distinguishable. The six quality categories can overlap and must not be added into one defect total.
These reports are separate from the existing repository-wide Requirement–Verification Matrix, whose CSV export and coverage semantics are unchanged. They require explicit product/project/release and requirement-chain relations in a catalogue containing transitrix.yaml; Studio does not infer membership or trace links from names or folders.
Implementation and packaged acceptance: #674, #675, #676 and #677.
Added
- Risk degrees accept numbers on explicit adopter-defined scales while keeping qualitative values valid; no automatic calculation is required. (#690)
- Read-only diagram viewer prototype. (#671)
Changed
- README examples now include native goals and DGCA screenshots. (#689)
- Release-note updates are pinned to verified draft identity; npm prereleases use the next channel. (#684, #685)
- Updated BPMN and development dependencies. (#678–#682)
Packages
@transitrix/cli2.10.0 and@transitrix/diagrams1.14.0.
Fixed
- Reserve a separate header row in the JetBrains goals preview so the diagram title cannot overlap the topmost nodes.
- Repository validation now reports unsupported files throughout canon, field, and codex, including hidden paths and zone roots. Only regular zero-byte
.gitkeepfiles qualify as placeholders; archival admission checks remain confined tocodex/sources/.
JetBrains preview readability
SVG previews now have an opaque light canvas matching the renderer palette. Diagram titles and edges remain readable when the surrounding preview uses a dark background.
Validator diagnostic compatibility
ACTION reference, cycle, date and numeric findings now use their element codes, separate from schedule diagnostics. The catalogue manifest selects the 7.0.0 negative-number restriction; signed 6.x values and duration aliases remain supported. Invalid numeric types and predecessor shapes produce schema findings.
Products and scenarios projections are reported as unvalidated and fail strict mode. Inline DGCA requires nonempty collections, with separate rules for resolved projections and the disabled Changes layer. External codex required fields use CODEX-002. Existing warnings remain visible.
Reference diagnostics now use the published Compliance Impact, Coverage Metric, REL and DGCA identities. Legacy unreferenced-element warnings become visible coverage observations for current catalogues. Inline catalogue schema messages retain their form, field and expected/actual type. Capability Map validates maturity from sidecar history and rejects inline time-varying storage; the scenario-set template is explicitly unvalidated rather than checked as a legacy singular scenario.

Transitrix Studio 3.7.4
Fixed
- ACTION completion in previews. Action, DGA and DGCA previews read completion percentages from the model's
analytics/action-progress.ndjsonsidecar. Action's Network, Gantt and Tree views share the seven-day freshness rule and the enabled-by-default completion control. Invalid or duplicate rows produce no percentage; missing-data placeholders require a tracker link. - Repository validation coverage. Reports discovered, read, validated, unvalidated, and failed file counts. Field primitives and unsupported or missing notation headers remain visible, with strict mode rejecting unvalidated files. Reads both view layouts during migration, reports the published
MIX-001warning, excludes templates and independent catalogues, and retains warnings and informational findings in reports.
Changed
- Rendering and YAML dependencies updated. Includes bpmn-js 18.28.0, PlantUML 1.2026.8, and js-yaml 4.3.2.
- Build and test dependencies updated. Includes Vite 8.3.0, React DOM 19.3.0, Mocha 12.0.2, serialize-javascript 7.1.1, Testing Library DOM 10.4.2, and Node, VS Code, and React DOM type definitions.
- IntelliJ build tooling updated. Uses IntelliJ Platform Gradle plugin 2.19.0; Kotlin stays at 2.4.10 for CodeQL compatibility.
- npm packages use trusted publishing with provenance.
- Extension listing documentation contains the final images.
Packages

What's changed
Added
- DGCA and DGA previews expose the completion-percent toggle. The setting appears on the Settings page and as a control in the preview panel. Default stays on. (#649)

Transitrix Studio 3.7.2
What's changed
Fixed
- DGCA/DGA completion-percent badges read
computed_atfrom the sidecar. Opening a document withanalytics/action-progress.ndjsonshows the percent on linked ACTION nodes that have a matching row. (#647) - A DGCA virtual Change shows only the dash placeholder. The dashed node in the Changes column no longer prints an Action id. (#646)

Transitrix Studio 3.7.1
What's changed
Fixed
- DGCA/DGA completion-percent badges now read
analytics/action-progress.ndjson. Opening a document in a repository that has that sidecar shows the percent on linked ACTION nodes in both the CLI preview and the editor. A missing sidecar, or an ACTION with no matching row, still leaves the node unchanged and does not fail the preview. (#644)
Added
- Show completion percent can be turned off, and a linked ACTION with no row shows a no-data label. With the setting on (the default), a percent row, a linked ACTION with no row, and an unlinked ACTION are three distinguishable states. With it off, neither the badge nor the placeholder appears. Setting:
transitrix.showCompletionPercent.{dgca,dga}. (#643)
Packages

Transitrix Studio 3.7.0
What's changed
Added
- DGCA synthesizes a virtual Change when an Action has no real Change. Activities linked only to a Goal still sit in the chain through a dashed placeholder Change node, instead of jumping Goal → Action. (#621)
- Goals, DGCA, and DGA nodes show a native tooltip on hover. The full name and id (and goal level, when present) appear in the SVG title, so truncated labels remain readable. (#622)
- DGCA/DGA Action nodes can show a completion-percent badge. When progress is attached to the activity, a small percent label renders under the type badge; missing data leaves the node unchanged, and a timestamp older than seven days is drawn muted. (#623)
Changed
- Marketplace listing opens with the canonical positioning form. The listing body now leads with the two-sentence statement. (#620)
- Marketplace listing GIF shows the Goals-tree demonstration. The recorded animation has the branch-appear payoff uncropped and side panels collapsed.
Fixed
- Marketplace listing hero image URL is pinned to a commit. The README image points at a content SHA rather than a moving branch tip. (#631)
Packages
@transitrix/diagrams1.12.2 → 1.13.0 — virtual Change nodes, hover titles, ACTION percent badge.@transitrix/cli2.8.2 → 2.9.0 — rebundles diagrams (no compiler source change in this span).

Transitrix Studio 3.6.2
What's changed
Added
- DGCA and DGA previews filter the chain by column. Scope replaces the single root-goal selector with Driver, Goal, Change, and Activity dropdowns (labelled D / G / C / A). Each defaults to All; chosen values combine with AND, and neighbouring lists shrink to the remaining thread. DGA, and DGCA with the Changes layer off, hide the Change selector. Goals preview keeps Root and Level. (#614)
- Goals, DGCA, and DGA previews offer Straight, Bezier, and Polyline arrow paths. The curvature slider remains for Bezier only. Action preview is unchanged. (#614)
Packages

Transitrix Studio 3.6.1
What's changed
Fixed
- Preview resolves the canon root from the adopter manifest under the normative layout. This release ships the fix described in 3.6.0's release notes but missing from that VSIX. Opening a projection view at
views/<notation>/*.yamlnow finds its canon store by locatingtransitrix.yamland thencanon/as its sibling, instead of walking up looking for an ancestor literally namedcanon. Files undercanon/elements/keep resolving under the legacy layout, and all nine preview modules that share this resolver pick up the fix. (transitrix-hq#457, #600) - Goal-tree and capability-map collapse toggle is visible on expanded parents. The ± button on a node with children was gated on
hasHiddenChildren, which is only true after the subtree is already hidden — so a fully expanded tree never showed the control. The toggle now appears whenever the node has children (minus to collapse, plus to expand), matching the static capability-tree SVG renderer.

Transitrix Studio 3.6.0
What's changed
Added
- DGCA chain view shows the ACTION scale level as a badge. Action nodes display their type (Initiative / Programme / Project / Task), read from the activity's
typefield, as a small label in the node's top-right corner; nodes without atyperender unchanged. (#601) - Goal-scoped DGCA projections tolerate catalogue references outside the selected scope. When an action or change references a goal that exists in the catalogue but falls outside the current goal filter, the validator no longer reports it as an error; the render output adds a caption explaining the scope limitation. Full-chain views (
goals.filter: all) are unaffected. (#604) - Goals diagrams support a
minimizeCrossingslayout mode. Siblings are deterministically reordered by ID before placement, producing fewer edge crossings than the default arbitrary order on tangled trees. Opt in per notation viatransitrix.layoutMode.<notation>; the existing layout stays the default. (#595) - A notation the validator cannot read now fails loudly. Skipped notation files are reported as
NOTATION-SKIP-001warnings; the new--strictflag treats them as errors instead. TheACT-011message now clarifies it applies to Gantt/CPM rendering only, not the network view. (#593)
Changed
- Listing demonstration transitions to Goals tree. The recording scenario and fixture now demonstrate a Goals tree with a child goal being added, showing the live preview updating when the YAML is saved. This replaces the prior Blocks demonstration. The GIF itself (
extension/docs/listing.gif) is ready to be recorded with the updated scenario and fixture. (transitrix-hq#330) - Published CLI emits
DGCA-012/DGCA-013instead of retiredFGCA-012/FGCA-013codes. Per-file DGCA validator codes align with methodology's vocabulary. The driver-reference check now walks the assessment chain (assessment_influences_goalrelations) in addition to inlinefactors, so a driver linked via an assessment that influences a referenced goal is no longer reported as unreferenced. (#378) - Repo-scope strategy-chain rule codes adopt scope prefix
DGCA-REPO-008..014. Previously the same codes as per-file DGCA rules, now distinguished with theREPOscope. OldFGCA-008..014codes remain accepted as deprecated aliases until version 5.0.0 for backwards compatibility. Validation output anddocs/validation.mdreference the new codes; the semantic checks are unchanged. (transitrix-hq#409) - Per-file
dgcavalidator emitsDGCA-001..015codes matching the closed vocabulary. Codes are derived fromnotations/vocabulary.yaml, the authoritative published source; oldFGCA-*codes remain accepted as aliases until version 5.0.0.docs/validation.mdnow agrees with the vocabulary on every code it prints. (transitrix-hq#417) - CLI help and validator output text say
views/instead ofcanon/views. Wording inimpact, validate --scope=repooutput, and inline comments now matches the normative layout landed in 3.5.0; behavior is unchanged. (#598)
Fixed
ACT-013no longer flags parented activities as structurally orphan. The orphan check now counts aparentreference as a valid structural connection, alongside predecessors, successors, and goal links. (#592)- Preview resolves the canon root from the adopter manifest under the normative layout.
(transitrix-hq#457, #600) - Validator reports no longer omit warnings when there are no errors. Human-readable output prints warning sections whenever findings exist, reserving the single-line "validation passed" for runs with none; machine (
--format=json) output splits findings into distincterrorsandwarningsarrays so downstream consumers can count errors without filtering by severity. (#602)
Security
- IntelliJ plugin's Gradle wrapper is integrity-checked.
gradle-wrapper.propertiesnow pinsdistributionSha256SumalongsidedistributionUrl; CI verifies the checksum is present and valid and that the download host stays pinned toservices.gradle.orgon every change to the wrapper properties, failing closed on a missing or invalid pin. (#603)
