The scheduled
Update Android downloadsworkflow now merges its own generated PR after the guarded page update and PR checks succeed. It uses the existing merge-commit strategy and does not require a repository-wide auto-merge setting.The merge step runs only from
masterand only when this workflow run created or updated a PR. It checks that the PR is open, belongs to this repository, was created bygithub-actions[bot], targetsgh-pages, and uses theautomation/android-downloadsbranch and exact commit produced by the run. Its diff may contain only the three generated HTML pages and at most 2,000 changed lines.The step waits up to five minutes for a successful Cloudflare Pages check on that exact commit and requires all other reported check runs to succeed. It checks that
gh-pageshas not advanced, honors required or requested reviews, and passes the expected head commit togh pr merge. A failed check, timeout, changed branch, or failed merge leaves the PR open and fails the workflow for investigation.Verification
