IHM Meeting Summary Oct 4 2018
Attended by Ben Webb, Tom Goddard, Brian Jimenez, and Brinda Vallat
-
Issue 71: This issue has been addressed in the recent dictionary update.
-
Issue 72: This issue has been created to enable a new deposition to PDB-Dev that uses hydroxyl radical footprinting. BV will address it.
-
Issue 65: The following data categories can now handle non-polymeric entities similar to
atom_site
:_ihm_starting_model_details
,_ihm_model_representation,
_ihm_struct_assembly
,_ihm_localization_density_files
,_ihm_starting_model_coord
,_ihm_gaussian_obj_ensemble
_ihm_sphere_obj_site
,_ihm_gaussian_obj_site
.Additional discussion is required to address whether these categories should be split to handle polymeric and non-polymeric entities separately. This would be the clean way to do it since non-polymers are inherantly different from polymers. However, it will create redundancy in the dictionary, these categories will handle coordinates differently from the existing
atom_site
category (especially important for_ihm_starting_model_coord
) and will lead to additional overhead for developers of visualization software. -
BW is working on depositing two new IMP models to PDB-Dev.
