I just reviewed some screenshots to check how FXAA looks, and what we currently have seems like a net negative. A few things are marginally improved, but it fails to fix most cases of jaggies. It messes up a lot of things and the deterioration looks bigger than the improvements. Features that legitimately are shaped like thin lines or points are destroyed by the algorithm. For example, in starry skyboxes it erases small stars; it makes a hash of the plat23 floor grate texture. Maybe I'll post some screenshots later to illustrate.
Now we have MSAA which actually works, so there is not so much motivation to improve FXAA.
If I'm right, FXAA is supposedly faster, so if it was working correctly, it would be good to have as a lower-quality-but-faster antialiasing. But I never seen it working in our engine, so if no one knows how to fix it, we may just drop it.

Well, it would be good to have something faster than MSAA… Here is a beefy configuration:
Here is the frametime with or without MSAA:
MSAA is very costly.
Edit: Added FXAA.

In comparison, FXAA does 674 fps (but I see no transformation).

I fixed FXAA:
