During probe every time driver gets resource it should usually check for error printk some message if it is not -EPROBE_DEFER and return the error. This pattern is simple but requires adding few lines after any resource acquisition code, as a result it is often omitted or implemented only partially. dev_err_probe helps to replace such code sequences with simple call, so code: if (err != -EPROBE_DEFER) dev_err(dev, ...); return err; becomes: return dev_err_probe(dev, err, ...); Signed-off-by: Andrzej Hajda <a.hajda@samsung.com> Reviewed-by: Rafael J. Because period and duty cycle are defined as ints with units of nanoseconds, the maximum time duration that can be set is limited to ~2.147 seconds. Change their definitions to u64 in the structs of the PWM framework so that higher durations may be set. Also use the right format specifiers in debug prints in both core.c, pwm-stm32-lp.c as well as video/fbdev/ssd1307fb.c. Driver for the PWM block in Qualcomm IPQ6018 line of SoCs. Based on driver from downstream Codeaurora kernel tree. Removed support for older (V1) variants because I have no access to that hardware. Tested on IPQ6010 based hardware.
According to Bjorn Andersson[1], &tcsr_q6 base is 0x01937000 with size 0x21000. Adjust qcom,halt-regs offsets (add 0xe000) to match the new syscon base. Also, rename to just &tcsr as Kathiravan T suggested. Describe the PWM block on IPQ6018. The PWM is in the TCSR area. Make &tcsr "simple-mfd" compatible, and add &pwm as child of &tcsr. Add also ipq6018 specific compatible string.

commit 9af2efe upstream. The fields in the hist_entry are filled on-demand which means they only have meaningful values when relevant sort keys are used. So if neither of 'dso' nor 'sym' sort keys are used, the map/symbols in the hist entry can be garbage. So it shouldn't access it unconditionally. Add IPQ6018 PWM driver and device-tree definitions. This facilitates control of power indication LED signals.
