Add tests for running extensions

Overview

Currently, the test for the availability of an extension from inside the CLI doesn't validate that the extension is actually run, only that it is available from the CLI. We want to test that a fixture extension works correctly.

Acceptance Criteria

• An integration test that checks that a fixture extension, when run, emits a known output passes.
