Current Status

Working in a new stable version. While the update is being made, the *.mfa is encrypted. Afterwards, I will unlock it.

Requirements

You need to purchase a legit Clickteam Fusion 2.5+ copy to use it. Make sure to install the most recent version of SDL Joystick for versions older than 0.27.4, Scope Control and the included shaders to make this works. The latest version is compatible with 292.22 build or higher.

History

Core began development in mid-2019 as a Sonic Worlds fork, with the aim of correcting Sonic Worlds' inaccuracies and revamping it to match the Sonic Mania style. However, starting with version 0.23.0, we made the decision to rewrite everything from scratch to make use of the modern Clickteam Fusion features.

We kept some of the same methods from Sonic Worlds where it made sense, but basically overhauled everything. We improved the collision system, sensors, angle detection, visual angle calculation, landing, ceiling landing, and physics.

We also rebuilt a ton of gimmicks and features from Delta with a brand new code, like actions, rings, monitors, spikes, platforms, bridges, and so on. A few things that were working well, like water tunnels, screw, and corkscrews, got adapted from Sonic Worlds Delta with a few tweaks. But pretty much everything else is all-new, written by us.

Terms of Use

  • Credit to everyone who developed this framework. It doesn't matter if you want to credit at the beginning or at the end, just credit us somehow.
  • You can use this framework to develop your own fangames and indies -- as long as you don't use anything protected by copyright in your game (e.g. don't commercialize a game using the Sonic the Hedgehog brand under any circumstances).
  • Don't re-release this framework without permission.
