When using shortcuts, toggling between the regular and 'Input by duration' modes causes the pitch to disappear

Description with steps to reproduce

1. With nothing selected, press 'N' to trigger the 'Input by note name' mode
2. Then press 'M' to trigger the 'Input by duration mode'
3. Observe that the note head which usually appears in the middle of the stave is not visible (see video)
