autobot-backend/mcp/ (AutoBot's own MCP server code -- AutoBotMCPServer and friends) permanently shadowed the real mcp PyPI SDK (requirements.txt's mcp>=2.1.1) for every module with autobot-backend/ on sys.path: every from mcp.X import Y anywhere in the tree resolved to the local package's own submodules, never the installed dependency. Confirmed zero references to mcp.server.*/mcp.client.*/mcp.types anywhere in autobot-backend/ before this change. Renamed to mcp_server/, no behaviour change. Every importer updated: api/autobot_mcp_router.py, api/mcp_token_admin_test.py, services/realtime_mcp_bridge.py, docs/mcp-server.md's invocation examples, plus the path-keyed baselines and citations the rename left stale. No packaging/systemd/ansible entrypoint names the module path (checked); no open PR touches any of these files (checked against all 54, before starting). Adds a regression guard: import mcp must resolve to the installed SDK, never a repo package. Also extracts RealtimeMCPBridge._emit_telemetry from call_tool's two near-identical success/error branches -- pre-existing duplication that put the function over the 65-line function-length guard the moment this rename touched the file.
…uard (#16449) Review at acfb301 found three gaps: 1. repo_tests/fixture_fixed_path_teardown_guard_test.py:216 still pointed at autobot-backend/mcp/mcp_security_test.py, a directory this PR's own rename removed -- red on python-suite shards 2/12 and 4/12. Fixed to autobot-backend/mcp_server/mcp_security_test.py. Also fixed a second stale path the review didn't catch: the module docstring in mcp_server/autobot_server.py itself still said "See mcp/auth_throttle.py" three lines below the import that already correctly said mcp_server.auth_throttle. 2. SSOT/check_baseline_no_growth.sh red. The review flagged this as an unconfirmed lead ("I did not root-cause ... treat that as a lead"), suggesting a baseline rename procedure. There is no such procedure, and check_baseline_no_growth.sh:158-163 says so explicitly: its one addition route (byte-identical-to-base-ref) deliberately does NOT cover a rename, by design, because the new path is absent at base by construction -- no hand-edit could pass it. Root cause was actually at the source: mcp_server/autobot_server.py's _kb_search(..., limit: int = 10) trips the magic_number hardcoded-value rule the moment the rename touches the file. Fixed by using QueryDefaults.DEFAULT_SEARCH_LIMIT (the same constant seven other call sites already use for this default) instead of the literal, and removed the now-unneeded baseline entry -- a fixed violation takes its baseline line with it. 3. AC3's guard was mcp-specific; the AC asks for a check that fails on ANY future top-level autobot-backend/ package reusing a name this repo declares as a dependency. Added test_no_top_level_backend_package_shadows_a_declared_dependency, reusing production_requirement_names()/_normalize() from tools/lint/check_requirements_ci_drift.py (loaded the same way repo_tests/requirements_ci_drift_test.py does) rather than a second requirements parser. Verified zero collisions on the current tree via a standalone snippet before adding the assertion. The new import (QueryDefaults) pushes autobot_server.py from 948 to 949 lines; ceiling bumped in both ratchet-tracking files to match. Also fixes the PR body onto this repo's required template headings and adds a Single-issue rationale section (both flagged by the same review, "Validate PR template sections" / "Check same-scope batching").
…ething (#16449) python-suite shard 4/12 has been red on this branch's own test_import_mcp_resolves_to_the_installed_sdk_not_a_repo_package: `import mcp` resolves with an empty __file__ (a namespace package, no real distribution) instead of the installed SDK. Root cause: mcp>=2.1.1 is declared only in autobot-backend/requirements.txt, which the python-suite venv never installs from (setup-python-suite/action.yml installs only requirements-ci.txt + requirements-ci-test.txt and their -r includes; none of them names mcp, and grep confirms no mcp-adjacent package name appears either). requirements_ci_drift_baseline.txt already listed "mcp" as a deliberate CI/production mismatch, on the rationale "no CI-scoped test importing them directly" -- true when that entry was written, false now that this branch's own guard imports it. Per the baseline's own rule ("any entry listed here that CI now installs... ALSO fails"), the fix is to mirror the floor into requirements-ci/agent.txt (matching the "MCP protocol for skill subprocesses" theme of the source declaration) and remove the now-stale allowlist entry, not add another exemption.
…6449) Review nit from the delta on 5260523: the guard's own sys.modules.pop("mcp", None) forced a fresh import but never restored the module afterward, leaving whatever import mcp produced (or nothing, on the pre-fix red) installed for every test that ran after it in the same worker. monkeypatch.delitem restores the original entry at teardown instead.
…16443) useSessionCollaboration.ts sent invented message shapes over globalWebSocketService's /ws/live channel, whose protocol only understands {action: "subscribe"|"unsubscribe"|"command"|"ping"} -- every message was silently dropped server-side (api/live_events.py's _handle_message logs "Unknown live-events action" at DEBUG and moves on). Rewritten onto what actually exists: REST (api/collaboration.py: invite/remove/participants/ share-secret) and the real presence WebSocket (api/presence_ws.py + websocket/presence.py's PresenceManager, secured by #16455), using its generic {"type":"broadcast","payload"} relay for live activity and secret-share notifications. Kept the composable's public return shape unchanged wherever the real backend could support it, which is why ParticipantList.vue, PresenceIndicator.vue, ActivityFeed.vue and SecretNotifications.vue needed no code changes at all -- only InviteUserDialog.vue (await the now-async inviteCollaborator) and ShareSecretDialog.vue (participant-id-aware shareSecretWithSession; dropped the "expires in" selector, which Secret.share_with() has no concept of at all) changed. api/collaboration.py's share_secret_with_session now also calls presence_manager.broadcast_to_session() after it commits, so connected participants see the share live -- id/name/sharer only, never the secret value (pinned by test_share_secret_broadcasts_id_name_and_sharer_only). Fixed along the way: every component calling useSessionCollaboration() registered its own onScopeDispose -> leaveSession(), harmless under the old fake transport but a real bug now that the socket is real -- the first mounted consumer to unmount would close it out from under every other one still mounted. Reference-counted instead; the socket closes only when the last instance disposes. Retired useActivityTracking.ts (#608/#874): zero real callers, and its distinct value (local activity tracking + auto-broadcast) is only useful bundled with a caller that wants both, which none currently does -- useSessionActivityLogger (the local half) remains independently available. New: ChatCollaborationPanel.vue, a togglable right-side panel in ChatInterface.vue (mirrors the existing ChatFilePanel pattern), shown for session.mode === 'collaborative', hosting ParticipantList/ActivityFeed/ SecretNotifications with InviteUserDialog as a modal. Not in this PR (#16460, filed separately): activity/notification history is live-only -- nothing is persisted, so a reconnecting client sees nothing before it joined. pendingInvitations/respondToInvitation are dropped from the composable entirely rather than stubbed: there is no REST endpoint to list or respond to a pending invitation despite the model already supporting it (SessionCollaboration.add_invitation/remove_invitation). Refs #16429 (ShareSecretDialog AC)
…ation list+respond endpoints (#16460) Adds a durable copy of the collaboration activity feed and secret-share notifications (new collaboration_events table + model), so a client that reconnects or wasn't connected sees what it missed instead of only live-only history from #16443. websocket/presence.py's generic broadcast relay now persists 'activity' kind broadcasts alongside forwarding them live; api/collaboration.py's share_secret_with_session persists 'secret_shared' the same way it already did before this change. Adds GET /sessions/{id}/events (paginated backfill), GET /sessions/invitations/mine, and POST /sessions/{id}/invitations/respond in a new api/collaboration_events.py (kept collaboration.py under the 600-line file-size guard; schemas live in a new schemas_collaboration.py since schemas_agent.py is frozen at its recorded ceiling). Endpoints wire to SessionCollaboration's existing add_invitation/remove_invitation. useSessionCollaboration.ts restores pendingInvitations/respondToInvitation and backfills recentCollaboratorActivities/secretNotifications on join. Refs #16460 -- its own UI-surfacing AC is tracked separately as #16470 (no component yet calls pendingInvitations/respondToInvitation).
…16466 (#16460) #16466 retired integrations/{terminal,file,browser}_tracking.py and knowledge/activity_types.py as dead code (zero callers, feature never finished for those three modalities). This Concept -- added on this same branch -- still listed all four as write-sites; only utils/activity_tracker.py (its surviving track_desktop_activity) and integrations/desktop_tracking.py ever actually wrote here.

…ake-shape banlist (#16460, #16443) Two CRITICAL findings from the code review on d665b52: - ChatCollaborationPanel.vue's scoped <style> @apply's w-6/h-6 without the Tailwind v4 @reference import every other component in this directory carries -- production Vite build failed outright with CssSyntaxError. Added the same import path MessageItem.vue/ ChatInput.vue/etc. already use. - updatePresence()'s real broadcast used payload.kind: 'presence_update', which collides with the composable's own new test's FAKE_TYPES banlist (the old /ws/live message shapes this composable replaces). Renamed the real kind to 'presence' on both the send and receive side -- no other file in the tree reads this exact string, so the rename is self-contained to this composable.
Auto-regenerated (py3.14) to match the backend and/or SLM backend schema so the required verify-generated-types gate(s) pass. Triggered by auto-fix-generated-types.yml.
…#16460) MEDIUM finding from the review on d665b52: this PR's genuinely new components/schemas push four fragmentation/contract counts up by a small amount each -- ChatCollaborationPanel.vue's own styles (components_declaring_styles +1, distinct_class_names +1, css_rule_declarations +2), and the new invitation/activity/notification response shapes (responses +9). Bumped with justification per the ratchet's own escape hatch for legitimate growth, rather than consolidating styles/response shapes that don't have an existing shared home to reuse.
…sh into fr (#16460) repo_tests/i18n_untranslated_ratchet_test.py caught it: "Collaboration" and "Notifications" are true cognates in French, but the guard can't tell that from a lazy copy-paste, and fr already carries the app's untranslated-string debt at its ceiling. Checked all 11 locales for the same copy-across on these 6 new keys -- fr was the only one. - panel.title: "Collaboration" -> "Espace collaboratif" (a heading has room to be more descriptive than a bare cognate) - panel.tabNotifications: "Notifications" -> "Alertes" (a short label to match its sibling tabs' brevity; this panel's own register, not necessarily every "Notifications" elsewhere in the app)
…ous get_fact(fact_id) (#16710) get_fact(self, fact_id) is a single, synchronous fact lookup (knowledge/facts.py) -- it never took a query or returned a list. Three callers used the wrong tool for the job, either by calling get_fact() with no args expecting "all facts", or with query= expecting search results: - knowledge/knowledge_base_integration_test.py: 8 call sites (more than the issue's 3 -- the file also had get_fact() no-arg calls expecting "all facts" behavior). query= -> search(query=...); no-arg -> await get_all_facts(); fact_id= -> asyncio.to_thread(kb.get_fact, fact_id=...) since it's sync. Downstream assertions fixed to match each real return shape: get_fact() returns Dict | None (not a 1-item list), and its dict key is "fact_id" (not "id"). The P95 latency test's get-latency loop is now measured per-fact-id to mirror the store loop above it, instead of calling the now-nonexistent "get everything" mode 50 times (which would have grown unboundedly across iterations and measured nothing useful). - autobot-infrastructure/shared/scripts/sync_kb_docs.py: 2 call sites, same query= -> search() fix. Its `sys.path.insert` also resolved to the wrong directory (two levels up from the script, never autobot-backend, where knowledge_base/knowledge_sync_incremental actually live) -- fixed to autobot_shared.paths.project_root() / "autobot-backend". No cron, systemd, ansible, CI workflow, or Makefile target references this script anywhere in the tree (grepped the whole repo); the 2 docs that do (librarian-agents-guide.md, knowledge-base-maintenance.md) both present it as a manual step ("you MUST run..."), not an automated one. Recording that here rather than filing a "wire it in" issue: there is no deployment path to wire it into, this is a standalone maintenance script invoked by hand. - docs/developer/ASYNC_MIGRATION_GUIDE.md: its example unit/integration tests (test_get_fact_by_id, test_full_knowledge_base_workflow) taught the same wrong calls; fixed to the current API. Step 4's earlier before/after pipelining example is left as-is -- it illustrates a blocking-to-async conversion technique, not a claim about the current method signature. Discovered in scope while fixing the above: knowledge_base_integration_test.py also had 11 store_fact(text=..., metadata=...) calls -- store_fact's real signature is store_fact(self, content, metadata=None, fact_id=None), no text param. Same file, same root cause (the whole file predates the current KnowledgeBase API and has never run -- its skip was hardcoded to an unreachable address, see below); renamed text= -> content= at all 11 sites. Also fixed: the integration test fixture's skip reason hardcoded "Redis not available at 10.0.0.4:6379" regardless of actual configured target, so a skip could never be distinguished from a real TypeError this whole file was hiding. Now reads the host/port from SSOT config (ssot_config.vm.redis / ssot_config.port.redis). Found during the #16670 closure audit (#16677); #16670 fixed five other callers, these were outside its list. tools/tool_registry.py's get_fact(fact_id=None, query=None) is a genuinely different method that does take query -- tools/tool_registry_test.py is correct and untouched.
… to the facts present at deploy (#16693) Owner decisions on #16693: ingested documents keep their reach, now as explicit SYSTEM, and every other ownerless fact stays private. - knowledge/ingestion_visibility.py recognises each ingestion class by a positive marker that only its writer sets; source_type cannot, since every unmarked fact defaults to manual_upload. - Migration 20260914_092 marks the facts that have no owner and no visibility at deploy and logs the count. - At startup, after adopt_legacy_facts, the backfill changes only marked facts, through update_fact. - index_ownership files an ownerless SYSTEM fact in kb:system:facts. - Trusted ingestion sites stamp SYSTEM themselves: connectors, the population router, machine-synced and parsed man pages, the repo sync's documentation, and the admin upload.
…ority, and test the anonymous and cross-org refusals (#16278) Finishes the criteria #16240 left open (#16278, #16279). POST /sync and PATCH /hardware-priority still wrote created_by="admin"; they now take the actor from require_settings_admin, which wraps the same check_admin_permission gate. New tests: the real check_admin_permission refuses an anonymous GET/POST /api/settings/ with 401 (config untouched), a member with 403, admits an admin; and a real SQLite database with a user in each of two orgs shows the tenant-scoped search never returns the other org's user. settings.py drops a contradictory docstring line, 882 -> 881, ceiling lowered with it.
…nger reads, and scope the admin control (#16278) Review follow-up on #16469. update_hardware_priority's gate is now require_settings_admin, so patching api.settings.check_admin_permission did nothing; the conftest auth stub is what admits the caller, and the comment says so. The admin control in the real-gate test judges admission only; the recorded author comes from the stub, which settings_revision_author_test covers.
Auto-regenerated (py3.14) to match the backend and/or SLM backend schema so the required verify-generated-types gate(s) pass. Triggered by auto-fix-generated-types.yml.
…outes through the real gate (#16278) Re-adds the real-gate test on top of current main: anonymous GET and POST /api/settings/ are refused with 401 before ConfigService is touched, a member gets 403, and an admin write is the 200 control. settings_config_test.py's docstring points to it. Authorship stays with main's TestAnAdmittedWriteRecordsItsAuthor and the #16541 test.
#16278, #16279) settings_revision_author_test.py (cherry-picked from #16469's branch) proves the exact same thing settings_sync_hardware_priority_created_by_test.py already does on main: /sync and /hardware-priority record the real caller, not "admin" -- that fix and its test landed via #16541 before this branch was recovered. Confirmed identical coverage: same two test cases (admin-session-by-username, internal-service-key), same routes, same assertion (create_revision's created_by kwarg). user_service_tenant_scope_test.py similarly duplicates user_service_org_scoping_test.py, already on main via #16506 (which closed #16279, "org A search finds no org B results" -- a different issue this branch's history had bundled in). Main's version is the more rigorous of the two: explicit total-count assertions plus a no-org-context edge case this file didn't cover at all. Neither drop loses coverage; both are dead weight from recovering an orphaned branch whose underlying fixes had already landed elsewhere by the time it was revived. See PR body for the residual (genuinely new) scope this branch actually still adds.
The cherry-picked type regen (from the orphaned branch's own stale state) predates 60+ commits of main history. This PR's only surviving production change is a 2-line docstring trim in settings.py -- no API shape changed -- so there is nothing to regenerate; matching origin/main exactly is correct.
…ption observes it and decided facts drop out (#16693) - migration-tests failed on 51ab542: probe-ladder observability found 20260914_092 unobservable, because it only wrote a metadata key. - An unobservable intermediate revision re-runs on baseline adoption. A re-run would have marked facts stored after deploy, which is the spoofing window the freeze exists to close. - The candidate flag is now a nullable knowledge_facts.visibility_backfill_candidate column. The add_column is a structural marker the probe observes. The flag is set only in the run that creates the column, so a re-run can never flag a fact stored after deploy. - Review LOW: the backfill clears the flag on every decided candidate (updated, kept private, skipped), so a later start revisits only failed updates instead of re-walking kept-private facts forever. The flag is row-only, so clearing it moves no projection.

…ed to the caller (#16701, #16654) /verbatim-memory/search (api/verbatim_memory.py) checked only that the caller was signed in -- VerbatimStore.search filtered by session_id when supplied, never by user, so any signed-in user could search the autobot_verbatim ChromaDB collection and get back every user's verbatim conversation chunks. VerbatimStore.search_symbolic (the Redis inverted-term-index path, currently unwired to any caller but the same class, same file) had the identical gap. Fixed by making user_id a required argument on both methods (no default), applied in the ChromaDB where clause / post-fetch filter -- the same grant memory/transparency.py's _list_verbatim already applies. Required, not optional, so a future caller can't silently get every user's chunks by omitting an argument. The route always passes the authenticated caller's own user_id (via the established extract_user_context_from_request helper); there is no admin bypass on this route today -- an admin-wide search would need its own explicit admin API, which doesn't exist yet. Also fixed, found while reading the file: DELETE /verbatim-memory/session/ {session_id}'s docstring claimed "in production the middleware additionally enforces that users can only delete their own sessions", but nothing in this file (or anywhere findable) enforced that -- any signed-in user could delete any other user's verbatim session data. Now runs Depends(validate_session_ownership), the same dependency api/chat_sessions.py uses throughout for the identical purpose. MCP path (mcp/autobot_server.py's memory.verbatim_search): this stdio/ JSON-RPC transport authenticates by scope token only ("kb"/"memory"/ "agents" prefixes) -- there is no per-user identity anywhere in its request handling to scope by, the same shape as _kb_search/_kb_get_document in the same file (already TRACKED_GAP #16666). Filed #16727 as its own sub-issue of #16654 rather than force a fix the transport can't support; this call site passes the new, explicit UNSCOPED_ALL_USERS sentinel and says why, so the gap is visible and can't spread to a future caller forgetting to pass user_id. Net-zero line-count change to this frozen (948-line, #16730/#16701/#16731 all touch it) file: the identity-threading comment was cut in favor of the constant's own docstring, to leave every inch of the shared ceiling for the two PRs still to land. Tested in both directions with a real VerbatimStore over a mocked ChromaDB collection (not mock-asserts-call-args): search_never_returns_another_users_ chunks / is_symmetric_for_the_other_user, at both the VerbatimStore layer (memory/verbatim_store_test.py, memory/verbatim_symbolic_test.py) and the route layer (api/verbatim_memory_16701_test.py). Delete's ownership dependency is proven wired through a real FastAPI TestClient, not a direct function call, so a refusal is proven to happen before the handler body runs. Refs #16654, #16666, #16727.

…I Act (#16733) Extends EU_AI_GOVERNANCE.md with the same cite-what-exists/state-the-gap/claim-no-certification discipline for two more standards: ISO/IEC 42001 (AI management systems, directly relevant, same governance primitives as the EU AI Act section) and ISO 14001 (environmental management, narrower — a structural point about who controls hardware/energy variables, explicitly not a measured environmental benefit claim). README and PLATFORM_MODEL.md updated to mention ISO 42001 alongside the EU AI Act for consistency across all governance-facing surfaces.
…4001 (#16733) NIS2 Art. 21(2) security measures mapped to real code: THREAT_MODEL.md (risk analysis), compliance_manager.py (incident-handling audit log), backup.py + verify-backup-restore.yml (business continuity, verified restore not just backup), dependabot.yml (supply chain), secrets_vault.py (cryptography/encryption policy via envelope-encrypted DEKs), user_management/ (access control), and a real MFA model (UserMFA, mfa_enabled) rather than a placeholder field. States the real gaps plainly: no SECURITY.md/vulnerability-disclosure policy at repo root, no incident-reporting workflow mapped to NIS2's 24h/72h/1-month timeline, and no NIS2 applicability determination (that depends on the operator's sector/size, not on AutoBot). Doc renamed to "EU AI Act, NIS2 & Governance Fit"; README and PLATFORM_MODEL.md updated to match everywhere.
…TEM facts indexed (#16693) Conflicts after vehicles 2e/2f: - knowledge/facts.py: #16705 added "and owner_id" to the ownership-index call's guard. Kept this branch's guard without it: index_ownership itself returns False for an ownerless fact and adds an ownerless SYSTEM fact to kb:system:facts, which the owner_id check would skip. A missing ownership manager still takes the #689 fallback (#16685's test covers it). - python_file_size ratchet and known-large lists: every entry set to the merged tree's wc -l (all 488 entries in each file checked).
…omparable string (#16701) 37's #16732 review: the sentinel was a plain string ("__unscoped_all_users__") compared with ==/!=. extract_user_context_from_request falls back to the caller's username when a token has no user_id claim, and usernames are validated against ^[a-zA-Z0-9_]+$ -- a pattern the old sentinel text satisfies. A user actually named "__unscoped_all_users__" would have equaled the sentinel and searched every other user's verbatim chunks. UNSCOPED_ALL_USERS is now an instance of a dedicated, non-str sentinel type; search()/search_symbolic()/_rank_symbolic_candidates() compare it with `is`, never `==`, so no string a caller supplies can ever match it. Added a test proving a user_id literally equal to the old sentinel text stays scoped to their own chunks.

- Around line 100-104: Update the collaboration event pagination query to use a
deterministic compound cursor: order by CollaborationEvent.timestamp and
CollaborationEvent.id, and make the before cursor carry both values. Change the
boundary predicate to exclude only records at or before that exact timestamp/id
position, preserving limit pagination without omitting events sharing a
timestamp.
- Around line 99-100: Update the collaboration event persistence and retrieval
flow around CollaborationEvent so secret_shared events are visible only to their
intended recipients: persist recipient scope and include it in the history query
after the existing VIEWER check, or omit sensitive secret metadata from
session-wide history. Preserve access to non-sensitive events and existing
session filtering.
- Around line 225-237: The invitation acceptance flow around _get_session_collab
and add_collaborator must validate my_invitation’s expires_at before granting
access. Reject expired invitations with the existing not-found or appropriate
HTTP error response, and only call add_collaborator after confirming the
invitation is still valid.
In `@autobot-backend/api/collaboration.py`:
- Line 157: Update the event persistence helper around db.flush() to use a
nested transaction/savepoint, ensuring a flush failure rolls back only the event
write and does not invalidate the outer transaction used by
share_secret_with_session. Preserve best-effort event handling so the share
commit succeeds when event persistence fails, and add a test covering a flush
exception followed by a successful share commit.
In `@autobot-backend/knowledge/fact_projection.py`:
- Around line 303-306: The backfill path in _backfill_one_document must claim
candidates conditionally at the durable-store boundary, requiring BACKFILL_MARK
and the complete unclaimed predicate in a dedicated update rather than
unconditional update_fact or _durable_update_or_adopt persistence fallback.
Treat a failed predicate as skipped, and update Redis, ChromaDB, and ownership
projections only after success; clear the backfill flag after handling the claim
result.
In `@autobot-backend/knowledge/search_filters.py`:
- Around line 231-234: Update the visibility/access filtering logic around the
NON_PRIVATE_VISIBILITY and NON_PRIVATE_ACCESS predicates so explicit private,
shared, group, or organisation visibility always rejects a fact before
access_level is considered. Apply the same precedence in both the ChromaDB
clause and the post-filter, and add a parameterized test covering conflicting
metadata such as private visibility with general access.
In `@autobot-backend/mcp_server/auth_throttle.py`:
- Around line 271-278: Update get_pre_auth_throttle and PreAuthThrottle usage so
the global ceiling is enforced through a shared atomic backend such as Redis,
rather than the process-local _throttle singleton; alternatively enforce the
same limit at the trusted ingress. Preserve atomicity and ensure all Uvicorn
workers observe one shared ceiling.
- Around line 223-225: The pre-authentication lockout path must not key failures
on the spoofable result of get_client_ip(request). Update mcp_tool_call and
record_failure to use the transport peer identity or a canonical identity
derived from the trusted proxy chain, while preserving the existing lockout
threshold and duration behavior.
In `@autobot-backend/mcp_server/mcp_cache_test.py`:
- Line 287: Remove the `@pytest.fixture` decorator from
test_environment_variable_loading so pytest collects and executes it as a test,
preserving its existing default TTL and enabled-state assertions.
In `@autobot-backend/memory/verbatim_store.py`:
- Around line 57-62: The verbatim search path must require a dedicated
privileged authorization scope before accepting UNSCOPED_ALL_USERS. Update the
MCP dispatcher and the handler for memory.verbatim_search to permit all-users
searches only for authorized administrators or trusted stdio callers, while
preserving per-user searches and rejecting broad memory-scope or unauthorized
Redis/JWT requests.
In
`@autobot-backend/migrations/versions/20260914_092_kb_visibility_backfill_candidates.py`:
- Line 39: Update the migration’s down_revision declaration to depend on
20260912_092, restoring a single Alembic head while preserving the existing
migration identity.
In `@autobot-backend/websocket/presence.py`:
- Line 259: Update the persistence flow around the WebSocket activity payload so
the stored username comes only from the authenticated server-side identity,
never payload.get("username"). Use None when that identity is unavailable, and
adjust the persistence test to avoid requiring a client-supplied username while
preserving the real user_id.
In `@autobot-frontend/src/composables/useSessionCollaboration.ts`:
- Around line 298-300: Update the session-event backfill flow around
getSessionEvents and the event insertion loop to clear shared event arrays
whenever the active session changes, removing entries from the previous session.
Before every mutation of those arrays, verify that currentSessionId.value still
equals the requested sessionId so stale responses cannot add session A events
after switching to session B.
- Around line 328-330: Update _backfillEvents, refreshPendingInvitations, and
respondToInvitation so request failures remain distinguishable from legitimate
empty data or unsuccessful responses: use a typed result, explicit error state,
or rethrow to a handling caller. Do not swallow errors by resolving with
empty/default values or false, and preserve the existing logger context while
exposing failure information to callers.
In `@docs/architecture/EU_AI_GOVERNANCE.md`:
- Around line 39-41: Update the EU AI Act timeline in the introductory
obligations paragraph to distinguish the high-risk application dates: use 2
December 2027 for Annex III high-risk systems and 2 August 2028 for Annex I
product-embedded high-risk systems, retaining 2 August 2026 only for provisions
that genuinely apply on that date.
In `@docs/research/connector-credential-egress-audit.md`:
- Line 48: Update the displayed MCP source path in the documentation link to use
mcp_server/autobot_server.py:560-570, matching the existing link target and
removing the obsolete mcp/autobot_server.py label.

Do not persist the author name from the WebSocket payload.
message is parsed from client WebSocket text, and payload["username"] is client-controlled. A session participant can send an activity with another user's name. The durable history can then display a false author, even though user_id retains the real actor.

Keep API failures distinguishable from valid results.
_backfillEvents and refreshPendingInvitations resolve normally after a failed request. respondToInvitation converts a request failure to false. Callers cannot distinguish these failures from empty data or a valid unsuccessful response.
Return a typed result, update an explicit error state, or rethrow to a caller that handles the failure.
As per path instructions, “a caught error that resolves to an empty or default value” must stay distinguishable from a legitimate empty result.
