`preview` carries its own release-bump commits (`release: v2.36.0-preview.20260829`), which are not on `dev`, so the promotion cannot fast-forward: `package.json` is the only conflicting path. Resolved to the version this train publishes, `2.36.0-preview.20260830`, which moves the `preview` channel forward from the 20260829 tip. Every other path takes `dev` (`bb6a6fbdf`) unchanged.

…rkflow call (lidge-jun#3262) Both v2.40.0 release dispatches (33615174183 preview, 33615177849 main) died at startup_failure: a workflow_call cannot grant its callee more than the calling job holds, and dev-version-bump.yml's job declares contents+pull- requests write. lidge-jun#3129 wired the call but never dispatched a release, so this is its first live run. The caller job now declares exactly the callee's two permissions; no other job in release.yml gains anything. Co-authored-by: jun <jun@lidge.dev> (cherry picked from commit 7ce0ba5)
…w-relfix release: carry the release.yml permissions fix onto preview for v2.40.0-preview.20260902
Brings the reviewed dev head (81a1fc1) onto preview. The only conflict is package.json's version, resolved to the preview channel's next version rather than to either side: preview carried 2.40.0-preview.20260902 and dev carries 2.41.0, and neither is what this publish is. The 37-commit delta since v2.40.0 is reviewed per-commit in devlog/_plan/260903_muse_release_train/011_review_ledger.md.

…w-2410-v3 [WRONG BRANCH] release: refresh preview onto the audit-clean dev head for v2.41.0-preview.20260903
v2.41.0 published from main while this promotion was in flight, so the preview line has to move past it: a 2.41.0-preview version is now BEHIND a released one, which tests/release-version-line.test.ts refuses and npm would refuse after it. dev moved to 2.42.0 in lidge-jun#3354, the automatic post-release bump. Preview follows the same line at 2.42.0-preview.20260903, which is the conflict resolution here: neither side's value, because neither is what this publish is. Also brings the three CI timing-flake fixes from lidge-jun#3351, which is what preview CI failed on twice at 491ffcf. Preflight: 2.42.0-preview.20260903 unpublished on npm, no v2.42.0* tag, no GitHub release, and it moves preview forward from 2.40.0-preview.20260902.

…w-2420-badges [WRONG BRANCH] release: promote dev onto preview for the main-account badge fix
…view preview had diverged from main: it carried 28 merge commits main did not have, while main carried 23 preview did not, so preview could not fast-forward. The divergence was history only - the sole CONTENT difference between the two branches was the package.json version line. This merge takes main (48f8186, the v2.42.0 release commit) into preview and resolves the tree to main's content, so preview now matches the released tree exactly apart from its own prerelease version line. The version could not stay at 2.42.0-preview.20260903: v2.42.0 has published, and compareReleaseTags ranks that prerelease BEHIND its own stable release (-1), which is what tests/release-version-line.test.ts fails on. preview opens the next prerelease line at 2.43.0-preview.20260904, matching dev's 2.43.0.

…idge-jun#6821) Let the provider's API-key field take a Service Account JSON directly: - gcp-adc: a `gcp-sa:<account>` marker resolves the credential from the OS keychain (same service + entry factory as `keychain:` references) and runs the existing service_account JWT / authorized_user flow. The marker sits above GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS in the source priority; everything downstream (token cache, refresh skew, in-flight dedup) is untouched. - api-keys: addProviderApiKey detects a pasted credential JSON (single, pretty-printed, or comma-separated for future pool rotation), verifies the "type" field, stores the secret in the OS keychain with a read-back check, and persists only the marker to config. File paths are rejected with paste guidance; unrecognized types are rejected before anything is stored. - router: usableResolvedApiKey registers the active `gcp-sa:` marker with the ADC resolver, so a marker in any pool entry becomes the active source. - adapters/google: vertex's API-key fast path skips `gcp-sa:` markers — they are not API-key material and must reach the ADC branch instead. Markers keep resolveProviderApiKey synchronous (no signature changes) and work naturally with the existing 429 key-pool failover: each pool entry can independently hold a raw key, an ${ENV} ref, a keychain: ref, or a gcp-sa: marker, and per-key cooldown rotation applies unchanged. Closes lidge-jun#6821 (partially — live model discovery for vertex mode is a separate discussion). Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>

Clean up GCP credential entries when selection fails or a key is removed.
addProviderApiKey stores the credential before commitProviderApiKeySelection. A non-committed result returns an error but leaves a newly created keychain entry without a configuration reference. Track whether the entry existed before writing, and delete it on a failed commit only when it was newly created.
removeProviderApiKey removes gcp-sa: markers from configuration but does not delete their keychain accounts. After a successful removal, delete the account returned by gcpCredentialMarkerAccount(entry.key).

The assertion is too broad to prove that the request took the ADC route.
rejects.toThrow() passes for any error, for example a URL or validation error unrelated to ADC. Assert on a signing error, such as /PEM|importKey|pkcs8/i. Alternatively, stub fetch and assert that no request carries an x-goog-api-key header.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
This test depends on the host's ADC state and can make a real network call.
After the marker is cleared, loadAdcCredentials reads GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS and ~/.config/gcloud/application_default_credentials.json. If neither exists, it calls the real globalThis.fetch against metadata.google.internal, which can take up to 2 s.
On a developer machine that has run gcloud auth application-default login, the test sends a real OAuth exchange. It then fails or passes depending on that environment.
Fix:
- Point
CLOUDSDK_CONFIGat an empty temp dir. - Unset
GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS. - Stub
globalThis.fetchto return 404. - Restore all three values in
afterEach.
The Betterleaks hint for Lines 23-29 flags a dummy PEM. It is not a real secret.

Closes #6842.
Summary
Let the provider's API-key slot accept a GCP credential JSON (Service Account or authorized_user) directly, stored keychain-backed so only a marker reaches
config.json. Credential setup becomes self-contained in the provider config — no environment variables — and the existing multi-key 429 failover works across mixed key types unchanged.Changes
src/lib/gcp-adc.ts— new credential source 0: an activegcp-sa:<account>marker resolves the JSON from the OS credential store (same service name and injectable entry factory askeychain:references) and runs the existing RS256 JWT / refresh-token exchange. Everything downstream — per-source token cache, refresh skew, in-flight dedup — is untouched.parseGcpCredentialJsonis deliberately strict (onlyservice_account/authorized_usertypefields count), so a literal API key that happens to start with{is never eaten.src/providers/api-keys.ts—addProviderApiKeydetects a pasted credential JSON and diverts it: the secret is stored in the OS keychain with a read-back check, and only thegcp-sa:marker is persisted. Single, pretty-printed (multi-line), and comma-separated JSONs are accepted — the same convention as newline-separated API keys, ready for future pool rotation. File paths are rejected with specific guidance ("paste the full JSON body, not a file path" — the most common paste mistake); unrecognized types are rejected before anything is stored.src/router.ts—usableResolvedApiKeyregisters the activegcp-sa:marker with the ADC resolver, so a marker in any pool entry (active or rotated-to) becomes the source. The registration is a no-op for every other value.src/adapters/google.ts— vertex'sx-goog-api-keyfast path skipsgcp-sa:markers: they are not API-key material, so they must reach the ADC branch (project/location + Bearer) instead.Design notes
resolveProviderApiKeystays synchronous — a marker string keeps the single sync read gate intact, no signature changes anywhere.apiKeyPoolentry can independently hold a raw key, an${ENV}ref, akeychain:ref, or agcp-sa:marker. The existing 429 failover (key-failover.ts) already rotates pool entries with per-key cooldown — SA credentials get rotation for free, no failover changes.config.jsonor its backups; the privacy scan passes.Tests
tests/providers/gcp-sa-marker.test.ts(18 tests): marker parsing (strict type detection), paste splitting (pretty-printed / comma-separated / file-path rejection / truncated JSON),addProviderApiKeydiversion + keychain storage + config-marker-only persistence, upsert idempotency, fail-closed on keychain-unavailable, ADC resolution through the marker (real RSA key + real JWT exchange), unreadable-marker failure surface, and marker-clearing restoring the normal source priority.tests/adapters/google/gcp-sa-adapter.test.ts: the marker never takes thex-goog-api-keyfast path — it reaches the ADC branch.gcp-adc.test.ts(17),key-failover.test.ts,provider-key-store.test.ts,provider-api-keys.test.ts(pre-existing flaky failures in that file reproduce on cleanmainwithout these changes), typecheck, privacy scan, structure-ssot, and the file-size ratchet.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
