Hi Ozzie,
Thanks for your ultra-fast reply - very much appreciated ! I will try your suggestions later today.
Please feel encouraged to further develop your brilliant piece of software - this is by far the best Calibre frontend I have come across yet. My setup: large ebook library and calibreweb on a Raspberry Pi and iPads / MacBooks as clients.
Unfortunately, the reader function currently seems to struggle with PDFs on iOS 16.7.8 (any web browser I’ve tested shows a blank page) while all works well with desktop web browsers.

The first one may be solved by this: #2948 <#2948> (I never had a look at what it is about, the guy creating the PR is very pushing, which created a lot of "antiforce" in me)
The 2nd one is a very old request: (#1956 <#1956> and #2019 <#2019>)

Using iOS 17.5.1 the pdf reader works without any issue |
Maybe it‘s related to this: mozilla/pdf.js#18222 |
Spot on ! That’s exactly how my (old and ancient) devices behave ;-)

In addition or as an alternative to the (calibre-web specific) shelves:
is it possible to edit the user interface on the left ("search options") or to add calibre custom columns (eg. for genres) ?
would it be possible to add the calibre hierarchy system (. / ..) to manage subgroups of books ?
Thanks for this fantastic frontend !!! The only thing I'm missing is syncing book collections with Calibre ...
