Cannot commit file through web UI after adding through Studio menu

This fails on the latest unreleased version.

1. In Studio/VSCode, add a new class
2. Use the Git menu in Studio to Add the file
3. Go to the web UI. I expect to see the file in the Staging Area of the Workspace view. Instead I see nothing.

I think the regression was caused by #314
