Add ghc 8.8.1 to travis config
Main change is the fact that the instance Arbitrary Char now produces the full unicode range, not just ASCII. Added Char8 and String8 newtype wrappers that generate 8-bit chars. Added some more model and nat trans magic to convert functions.

This is a variation in #178 but one that I'm a bit happier with. Tests pass locally with QC 2.10+. Lets see about CI...
