Why

Hygiene is the next ADR adoption after the deployed Identity pilot. Its existing organization decisions must be inventoried before migration; its old continuity still described completed coverage work.

Changes

  • Inventory all 13 canonical records and their history, authority and source gaps.
  • Preserve every canonical ADR and six policy/navigation source files byte-for-byte, with a dated hash receipt.
  • Record the missing canonical-policy-owner capability in 🐛 [bug] Validate Hygiene ADRs as the canonical policy owner egolint#81 and keep Hygiene's host choice explicit.
  • Correct stale policy-acceptance wording in the canonical index and refresh the resume checkpoint.

Review decision

The concrete ADR-0001 packet recommends reaffirming its unchanged historical decision and retaining its four-digit ID through the supported legacy identity exception. It does not record new approval, backdate authority, waive required sections, or accept ADR-003–013. ADR-002 is already explicitly ratified.

Validation

  • All 12 modern decoded metadata records pass the existing reference checker.
  • The 12-record set has exactly 11 expected references to omitted legacy ADR-0001, which has no YAML metadata; full corpus conformance is not claimed.
  • Source hashes/Git blobs, local documentation links, context and continuity composition pass.
  • The exact pinned Aether continuity schema, twelve headings, size/privacy and diff checks pass.
  • Documentation-only: no native production run, hosted CI, generated site or deployment.

Follow-up

Resolve ADR-0001's disposition, preserve original prose while supplying required anatomy, prepare the narrowly evidenced proposed catalog-format ADR, implement shared owner support, then validate and compose the real publication. The eleven existing proposals can remain proposed.

ADR not required: this checkpoint records evidence and a migration plan without making a new architectural or lifecycle decision.
