This release has the following changes:

• Correct Archim reboot loop when using the color LCD on the TAZ Pro.
• Corrected the experimental high-temp Pt1000 toolhead for TAZ 6 to be based on the Aero 2 firmware

Last March I identified an issue with release 44 that caused the Archim board to freeze on the boot logo. I have now identified the exact upstream change that causes this issue. This Drunken Octopus release forwards the upstream code to just prior to the breaking change, as it existed on February 17th.

Reported Issues:

• This build does not work with the color LCD on the TAZ Pro. Please use release 45 instead.

• Revert state as of release 43, to resolve the freezing issue on Archim
• Turns on UBL_HILBERT_CURVE for UBL builds
• New experimental (untested) build for TAZ 6 with TitanAero and RTD Pt1000 high-temp thermistor
  • Sets TEMP_SENSOR_0 to 1047
  • Sets HEATER_0_MAXTEMP to 505

Known Issues:

• It appears this firmware is not able to boot past the Marlin logo on Archim boards. This error has been reported upstream. I suggest using release 43 for now.

Drunken Octopus January 22nd Release 43

This release is the same as 42, but turns off THERMAL_PROTECTION_VARIANCE_MONITOR to prevent the reported "TEMP MALFUNCTION; PRINTER HALTED" errors.

• Fixed issue with motors not stepping on printers with a Mini-Rambo or Rambo board ¹

Issues Identified with this Release:

• There have been reports of a "TEMP MALFUNCTION; PRINTER HALTED" error. This has been independently confirmed ².

Footnote:

1. The issue appears to have been caused by Marlin growing too large and it was necessary to remove the easter egg LCD games to resolve the problem. If you want these, I suggest sticking to Release 39. ↩

2. This issue seems to be related to MarlinFirmware#23373 and could probably be avoided by disabling THERMAL_PROTECTION_VARIANCE_MONITOR ↩
