✅ Merged pull requests

Repo PR What Merged
ratatui/ratatui #2822 The portable-atomic feature now forwards to ratatui-widgets, so no-atomic targets like the RP2040 build. Before, ratatui-widgets imported alloc::sync::Arc unconditionally and thumbv6m-none-eabi builds failed with E0432 even with the feature on; Shadow::custom now uses portable-atomic-util's Arc, erasing the effect type through a Box only under the feature, and a new CI check builds the no-atomic target. 9 Oct 2026
rust-lang/rustup #5129 rustup component remove no longer panics with component target should be known when removing a target-less component such as rust-src that is not installed on the active toolchain. The remove path now skips the installed-target lookup for target-less components and falls through to the normal does not contain component error, covered by a CLI regression test. 8 Oct 2026
LargeModGames/spotatui #729 parse_synced_lyrics now drops LRC header tags like [ar:] and [offset:+500] instead of turning them into blank lyric lines; an [offset:+500] tag had become a blank line at 8:20 that froze the highlight. One-digit fractions now read as tenths of a second, and fractions past three digits keep the first three as milliseconds. 8 Oct 2026
LargeModGames/spotatui #728 Unknown --device names now error instead of playing on the saved device. set_device used to return success when nothing matched, including an empty list. device_id_by_name returns the first exact-name id, or the same no device with name error --transfer already used. 8 Oct 2026
getzola/zola #3293 The zola serve dev server now escapes HTML in its build-error overlay, so a build error that quotes markup, such as an img tag or an ampersand, shows as literal text instead of being parsed by the browser. The overlay renders through a Tera one_off template with autoescape on, replacing the raw format! string in error_injection_middleware. 8 Oct 2026
nuxt/content #3868 fetchContent() in Nuxt Content's runtime API no longer forwards the incoming request's content-length, transfer-encoding, content-encoding and expect headers to internal /__nuxt_content requests, so queryCollection(event, ...) after a large upload no longer trips the body size guard with a 413. Covered by a new fetchContent unit test that fails before and passes after. 7 Oct 2026
rust-lang/rustup #5130 rustup component remove now suggests rerunning with rustup + when the active toolchain lacks the component but another installed toolchain has it, mirroring the existing target hint. A new ComponentSuggestion type in errors.rs carries the toolchain or fuzzy-match suggestion, covered by CLI tests. 7 Oct 2026
mozilla/uniffi-rs #3014 find_recursive_enum_names walks IndexMap-backed dependency graphs and both type_names_in_type copies follow Type::Custom, so the recursive flag (and Swift indirect) is stable across builds and cycles through custom types are detected. 5 Oct 2026
open-telemetry/opentelemetry-rust #3762 Added serde(default) to the ExponentialHistogramDataPoint, Buckets, ValueAtQuantile and Exemplar types in opentelemetry-proto, so OTLP/JSON metrics that omit ProtoJSON default fields now decode instead of the flattened Metric.data silently becoming None. Covered by three JSON regression tests built from the issue payloads. 3 Oct 2026
anchore/syft #5351 uv.lock parser links each dependent to the exact locked version it names via name@version refs, so forked pandas/numpy locks produce correct SBOM relationships instead of pairing every dependent to every version. 29 Sep 2026
wntrblm/nox #1190 test_noxfile_script_mode prepends the fake nox-999 package to PYTHONPATH instead of replacing it, so the subprocess keeps a staged nox importable when nox is only visible through PYTHONPATH, as in FreeBSD ports. The fake package stays first on the path, preserving the #1157 coverage. 29 Sep 2026
remix-run/remix #11877 frame.ts infers flush kind from markup when no rmx flush marker is present, treating HTML starting with a doctype or html tag as a document so renderToString output navigates correctly. 22 Sep 2026
mkdocstrings/python #342 AutorefsHook.expand_identifier anchors leading-dot relative cross-references on docstring.parent, the object the docstring was written on, so inherited members resolve against the defining module instead of the inheriting class. 22 Sep 2026
leo-aa88/reviewgate #172 Corrects DESIGN.md section 10.14 Hunk entry state to match the shipped code-token rule from PR 144: each establishing context line must scan clean and carry a code token, with blank lines neutral, so docstring prose can no longer read as a normal code position. 19 Sep 2026
stellar/js-stellar-sdk #1725 Docs pipeline now covers docs/migration pages: Starlight sidebar group, llms.txt and llms-full.txt bundles with strict link validation, wired through astro.config.mjs, build-llms.ts and doc-links.ts. 18 Sep 2026
EmbarkStudios/cargo-about #319 Terminate the appended license value with its closing quote in synthesize_manifest when the [package] table runs to end of file, so the synthesized manifest stays valid TOML with package.license intact. Added the first unit test module in resolution.rs, covering exact output, expression offset, and a TOML round-trip. 18 Sep 2026
EmbarkStudios/cargo-about #320 Rebase the insert position computed from the &existing[pkg+5..] subslice back to full-manifest coordinates in synthesize_manifest, fixing corrupted output and an is_char_boundary panic on multibyte CRLF manifests while keeping the reported offset at the expression start. Added mid-file offset tests with ASCII and multibyte TOML round-trips. 18 Sep 2026
astral-sh/ruff #28542 PYI002 diagnostic in complex_if_statement_in_stub.rs now names the stub-file context, so if tests in .pyi files report as needing a simple comparison against sys.platform or sys.version_info instead of reading as a claim about the flagged test itself. 17 Sep 2026
leo-aa88/reviewgate #144 Adds a configurable excessive code-comment verbosity check to the core review engine: oversized_comment_block, excessive_comment_lines and comment_heavy_diff are computed from added patch lines only, so a PR is never penalised for comments it did not touch. A single-pass lexer tracks string literals, block comments, JS and Go template literals, shell heredocs and Python triple-quoted strings, so runtime data such as a banner inside a backtick string is never counted as commentary, and hunk state established from context carrying a code token keeps a verbose block added mid-file detectable while docstring content stays excluded. 16 Sep 2026
PyO3/maturin #3302 Windows interpreter discovery no longer panics on non-UTF-8 command output. find_all_windows() decodes py --list-paths and conda info -e with String::from_utf8_lossy instead of unwrapping str::from_utf8, so a localized install that emits undecodable bytes skips that line instead of aborting the build. Added a unit test covering the non-UTF-8 decode path. 16 Sep 2026
stellar/stellar-docs #2859 Added the --enable-core-manual-close flag to the Local section of the Network Modes page, so the parameter list no longer omits a flag the quickstart container ships, with a cross-link to the Manual close mode section noting that only the local configuration sets NODE_IS_VALIDATOR. 15 Sep 2026
stellar/stellar-docs #2850 Documented Quickstart's undocumented --enable-core-manual-close flag in the advanced usage docs. The Operation Modes page now covers the flag, the MANUAL_CLOSE setting it writes into the generated etc/stellar-core.cfg, and triggering a close through the manualclose endpoint on port 11626, while Run Commands adds macOS, Linux, and Windows startup examples that bind the admin port to loopback. The new section also records two limits readers hit in practice: the flag is accepted on every network but only usable on local, because stellar-core checks NODE_IS_VALIDATOR when manualclose is invoked and only the local config sets it, and each invocation advances exactly one ledger. 15 Sep 2026
ssf0409/tracelens #140 Markdown table cells in the report generator are now escaped with html.escape in addition to pipe and newline handling. Task ids or gate values containing pipes, line breaks, or HTML metacharacters no longer break the per-task and baseline-gate tables piped into $GITHUB_STEP_SUMMARY, and no cell can open a raw HTML element. 15 Sep 2026
stellar/stellar-docs #2849 Reworked the Soroban address conversion example to propagate the fallible Result<Address, ConversionError> from Address::from_xdr() instead of calling .unwrap(), which panics on malformed XDR. Added prose noting that contracts consuming XDR from untrusted sources must handle the error instead of aborting. 14 Sep 2026
stellar/stellar-docs #2853 Reconciled contradictory memo guidance in the pooled accounts guide: the intro framed memos as obsolete while later sections still required supporting them. Reworked the intro and opening note so memos read as the legacy mechanism still in active use and muxed accounts as preferred going forward, with the guide covering both. 14 Sep 2026
stellar/stellar-docs #2851 Qualified the dapp frontend guide's blanket claim that Freighter requires HTTPS. http://localhost and http://127.0.0.1 are already Potentially Trustworthy origins under the W3C Secure Contexts specification, so plain HTTP on loopback satisfies Freighter's secure-context requirement and readers no longer need to provision TLS for local development. 14 Sep 2026
pytest-dev/pytest-env #262 Documented that pytest.toml and .pytest.toml accept the native [pytest] env table, not only the plugin-specific [pytest_env] section. 14 Sep 2026
pnpm/pnpm #14863 Fixed startup crashes on FreeBSD and other non-Windows Unix-like platforms by making default_store_dir use the Unix fallback path; added platform-specific regression coverage. 14 Sep 2026
web-infra-dev/rspress #3678 Awaited FlexSearch addAsync() indexing before search initialization completes, preventing early queries from incorrectly returning no results on larger sites; focused change preserves existing behavior. 14 Sep 2026
recharts/recharts #7805 Removed tabIndex={-1} from z-index portal <g> layers so empty SVG groups are not pointer-focusable, preventing WebKit geometry-traced focus rings; added regression coverage asserting no rendered layer carries a tabindex attribute. 13 Sep 2026
brianc/node-postgres #3772 Connection.sync() no longer permanently sets _ending, so later ECONNRESET / EPIPE errors are not swallowed. Regression and integration coverage protects the behavior. 11 Sep 2026
pnpm/pnpm #14756 pnpm update pkg@x.y.z preserves existing ^ / ~ range operators and supported npm: / jsr: prefixes. 10 Sep 2026
pnpm/pnpm #14754 Non-recursive pnpm run "/pattern/" --no-bail no longer terminates sibling scripts after the first failure. 10 Sep 2026
pnpm/pnpm #14753 lockfile: false is respected with devEngines.packageManager.onFail: download; package-manager download/switch still works without project lockfile synchronization. 10 Sep 2026
SQLMesh/sqlmesh #6040 ModelTest.create_test() runs on the calling thread, eliminating a race around shared execution_time / time_machine state. 10 Sep 2026
anza-xyz/kit #2032 Restored number predicates in the getPatternMatchCodec documentation examples so they match the actual codec typing. 9 Sep 2026
better-auth/better-auth #11208 Regression coverage locks the /phone-number/verify OpenAPI requestBody contract after a Zod intersection issue. 9 Sep 2026
biomejs/biome #11667 Added the useBetterDomTraversing nursery lint rule, ported from eslint-plugin-unicorn, with fixtures and release integration. 8 Sep 2026
thirdweb-dev/js #8938 Genuine useTokenQuery request failures are rethrown instead of being converted into Token Not Supported; added regression tests and changeset. 7 Sep 2026

🤝 Co-authored pull requests

Merged upstream pull requests opened by another contributor that carry my Co-authored-by trailer in the merged commit. They are listed for completeness and are not part of the merged count above.

Repo PR What Author Merged
langchain-ai/langgraphjs #2828 Co-authored the InMemoryStore namespace isolation fix: searches now return only the exact namespace and its descendants instead of sibling namespaces that share a character prefix, and colon aliases are rejected on search, write and direct batch calls. The InMemory portion was carried over from my closed #2803. @byhow 5 Oct 2026

✍️ Selected write-ups

Short technical notes on eight of the merged contributions, covering the root cause, why the obvious fix was wrong, and how each change was verified.
