TagStudio Version

Alpha 9.5.3 Release

Operating System & Version

Windows 10

Description

Not sure if this is an oversight, or intended behaviour, but right clicking a parent tag in either the "Add Tag" (creating a new tag), or the "Edit Tag" popup window, shows a different context menu, than right clicking a tag anywhere else. The only option it presents is "Search for Tag", which doesn't actually alter the search.

Expected Behavior

Right clicking a tag should bring up a context menu, consistent with anywhere else, having two rows: "Edit", and "Search for Tag". Clicking "Edit" should bring up another "Edit Tag" popup window. Clicking "Search for Tag" should replace the search for the appropriate one.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Edit or Create a tag, to bring up the popup window.
  2. Under "Parent Tags" Section, add at least one parent tag, if none is present.
  3. Right click any parent tag.
  4. No "Edit" option.

A Workaround for this is to click the "+" icon, to add more parent tags, and right click the tag in that list. Then it shows the correct context menu.
