[Regression] Raystorm HD [NPJB00034] - Crash during installation

Details

When trying to install the game's .pkg, the emulator crashes right at the beginning.

Last build where the game installed fine was rpcs3-v0.0.25-14511.

NOTE: v0.0.25-14516 gives some error stating that an antivirus might be blocking installation. The recent builds however straight up crash.

Seems like it fails to install one file and then the entire application crashes because of poor error handling

Just tried 0.0.26-14684, but issue still persists. Now giving the same error I mentioned above

Oh so it's the case sensitivity issue. Hope it gets fixed soon. But I'm curious, how did it work fine in 0.0.25-14511 and earlier builds?

Because in the past the file was always replaced with the other file, no matter if it existed or not.

In the newer builds it can only be replaced if was found. But there's a bug that first tells us that the file doesn't exist but then complains that it already exists when trying to create a new one.

0.0.32 16846-3ea24183 still give us the same errors.. cannot install the game

I use the latest version of RCPS and Raystorm HD still crashes on install (like described above) today in 2025. So I guess it's not fixed yet. 😉
