Can't yank over other text

This is a repercussion of #26. It means that things like Vp (to substitute a line in normal-state) no longer work.

In fact this is true of yanking in general.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to reproduce this...

I'm going to say this appears to be fixed.

There is another issue that results from this. Will need to reproduce.
