The project started as an idea for an electric modular vehicle, that could help people in their everyday life. The design of the vehicle was inspired by the BattleBots series. Then we got the opportunity to attend a competition at the University of Oslo arranged by the society: 'IFI Makers'. Our group won the competition and got 25 000 kroners to construct our vehicle design.
While working with the project we were discovered by a professor at the University og Oslo. He informed us about a research group at the University named MECS (Multimodal Elderly Care Systems). We decided to jump on the bandwagon and establish cooperation. From there on the project was divided into two different electric vehicles:
Firstly, a modular electric vehicle made by the original group just for fun.
Secondly, an electric vehicle made for the MECS research group - with the aim to help elderly people in their homes.
This is an electric vehicle made to serve multiple purposes:
- Carrying-help
- Segway
- Security guard
- Lawn mower
