GNOME is a modern, clean, and elegant desktop environment (DE). It's a bit resource-heavy and not as easily customizable as other DEs, but the unique experience it provides is sleek, cohesive, and efficient and extensions are available for increased options and functionality. If you have a powerful PC and love smooth, minimalist design, this might be the perfect DE for you!
- Red-and-black theme (Matcha Dark Aliz), neon icons (BeautyLine), and a golden cursor (Breeze Amber).

- Terminator is set as the default terminal emulator to take advantage of its ability to split vertically (Ctrl+Shift+E) and horizontally (Ctrl+Shift+O). The GNOME Terminal is still available as a backup and, of course, you can easily install your own favorite terminal.
- Finally, the behavior of highlighting text by holding Shift while using numpad keys is adjusted to suit most modern users' expectations.
In addition to the default GDL software, the following packages are installed:
- The entire
gnome
group, including:- Baobab for analyzing disk usage.
- Cheese for taking webcam pictures/video with various filters.
- Epiphany for surfing the web.
- Eye of GNOME (eog) for viewing images.
- GNOME Disk Utility for managing storage devices.

GNOME Software for discovering new (non-AUR) apps of interest. Installation and updates should still be handled via terminal (
pacman
oryay
).

- GDM Settings to customize the login screen.
- To update your system, type
yayup
