κ = 4498144/10^11 ≈ 4.498144×10⁻⁵ > 2⁻¹⁵, conditional on OpenAI's base theorem and the retained analytic and fixed-tape interfaces. That is 9.2146906% above #48 (411862541/10^13), which it builds on. It is also 7.8378235% above the highest open claim at the time of writing, #51 (4171211781/10^14); #49 and #50 claim 4.123863984e-5 and 4.129418696e-5. The exact bit saving is 4498347/10^11.

Change and mathematical scope

This builds on #48 (b7194b8), so the branch also carries the #43, #46 and #48 commits; only the last commit is new. Everything except the scalar producer is #48's research/copied-fixed pipeline, with constants recomputed. The new files are in research/skip-strips/.

What changes. Every vertex's leave-one-out strip sums use a skip-prefix layout:

s_j = A_{j−2} + (v_{j−1} + B_{j+1}) instead of s_j = A_{j−1} + B_{j+1}

In the ordinary layout, the two consumers of each prefix A_i are A_{i+1} and s_{i+1}. Their envelopes are incomparable, so the second use always costs a fresh role. With the skip layout, the consumers of A_i are A_{i+1} and s_{i+2}, and cover(A_{i+1}) ⊆ cover(s_{i+2}). Likewise, the new node v_{i−1} + B_{i+1} sits inside B_{i−1}. The inherited carrier matching can join these nested pairs.

#48 this PR
additions (h=23 / 25) 37,098 / 49,119 40,329 / 53,475
carrier links (h=23 / 25) 6,002 / 7,715 12,719 / 16,991
roles R (h=23 / 25) 36,432 / 48,329 32,946 / 43,409
physical wires W 177,530,859 160,799,739

Hypotheses. No hypothesis or interface changes; the bound uses the same inherited framework as #48. Two points of scope:

Validation

Finite checks. make skip-strips-verify checks:

tests/test_skip_strips.py adds 20 tests, including leave-one-out exactness, the cover-nesting identity and negative controls.

An earlier version of the same change, applied on top of #43, was audited independently from clean copies. The audit re-ran the full producer check and recomputed every transition profile in exact rational arithmetic, with no modular step. It found no correctness issue. The stacked version here has not had that separate audit.

Proof arguments. As in #41, #47 and #48, which also changed the producer DAG, the new DAG enters the inherited proofs only through properties and quantities that the finite checks above recompute: disjoint additions, common points, exact outputs, admissible carrier links, the physical timeline and the transition profiles. The cover-nesting identity explains why the matching finds more links; correctness does not depend on it. The inherited written obligations are not re-proved here: the base theorem, the residual compiler and fixed-tape recursion, the physical meaning of carrier continuations and copied centers, and the analytic, routing and eventual-threshold interfaces. This is not a formal verification, and no global optimality or speedup is claimed.

The skip-prefix layout is new here, by Avi Eisenberg with Anthropic Claude (Claude Opus 5.5) assistance. The rest is inherited from:

Only the scalar producer DAG (research/skip-strips/skip_graph.py) and its
pinned PR CrocSwap#44-weighted carrier matching change. Leave-one-out strips use
s_j = A_{j-2} + (v_{j-1} + B_{j+1}) instead of s_j = A_{j-1} + B_{j+1}, so
the two consumers of every prefix (and of every new suffix-side node) have
nested envelopes that the inherited carrier matching can join.
- Top level: the layout runs on the reversed value list.
- Deeper levels: values are sorted by (support size, support) (PR CrocSwap#48's
idea), ascending at h=23 and descending support at h=25.
- Totals follow PR CrocSwap#48's rules.

Roles R23=32946, R25=43409 (PR CrocSwap#48: 36432, 48329); W=160799739.
Exact bit saving 4498347/10^11; kappa 4498144/10^11 (+9.21% over PR CrocSwap#48).
Everything else is PR CrocSwap#48's research/copied-fixed pipeline with recomputed
records and constants. Adds make skip-strips-verify, tests, README and
NOTICE entries.

Apply PR CrocSwap#51's backward-positive labels and paid whole-chain clone search to
PR CrocSwap#53's skip-prefix DAGs, with exact optimal carrier matching under the
positive-frame adjacency. Roles fall from 32,946 to 32,693 at h23 and from
43,409 to 43,009 at h25, and W to 159,509,439. Fixed I+J bases, so PR CrocSwap#53's
data corners and pipeline carry over unchanged.

kappa 4548671376/10^14: 0.4334% above PR CrocSwap#54, 1.1233% above PR CrocSwap#53. build.py
rebuilds everything from scratch and passes PR CrocSwap#51's independent compiler
check. The profiler reproduces PR CrocSwap#51's and PR CrocSwap#53's certified profiles
exactly. 47 constraints and seven margins pass, next grid points are
rejected, and the PR CrocSwap#53 and CrocSwap#54 networks are excluded.

Introduce the mathematical dual skip-suffix layout:
  s_j = (A_{j-1} + v_{j+1}) + B_{j+2}
which keeps core popcounts >= 2 and enables SharedPointCircuit to merge
530+ additions across groups. This lifts carrier matches to 12,894 (h=23)
and 17,051 (h=25), dropping roles to R_23 = 32,541 and R_25 = 43,049,
and slashing wire volume to W = 159,230,679 (-1,569,060 vs PR CrocSwap#53,
-361,997 vs PR CrocSwap#54) with zero paid clone tables.

Certified:
  - Bit saving: a_bit = 4541218/10^11 = 4.541218e-5 (strict gap 1.208e-13)
  - Exponent saving: kappa = 4541011/10^11 = 4.541011e-5 > 2^-15
  - All 47 strict assembly inequalities and 7 margins verified
  - Verified across CRT matrices (0 disagreements) and both-orientation timelines
  - OpenMP 32-core parallelization on data corners

…6133/10^11

Change only the scalar producer of PR CrocSwap#53 in two ways.

- Build every leave-one-out strip from cyclic intervals. Each interval
extends a shorter one by one item, so it can continue a retained carrier
  into the next interval.
- Assemble the four outputs of each group pair in a core-aware order, so
the four far-plus-strip sums also continue carriers.

Roles fall from 32,946/43,409 to 28,719/37,676 at h=23/25. The physical
wire count falls from 160,799,739 to 140,924,496. The exact bit saving is
4986382/10^11 and kappa = 4986133/10^11, 6.782% above PR CrocSwap#57.

Stacked with PR CrocSwap#57's unchanged joint frame compiler, the same graph gives
kappa = 5101691/10^11. The frame/ directory holds the pinned words and an
adapted verifier.
