Summary
This adds
research/depth4-count-vectors-check/, an independent check of #4279 (Nick Petalas). #4279 classifies the call-count vectors of the unsigned depth-four dirty chain connector atm = 2..5: a vector is attained, for any nonzeroc, exactly when its entries are multiples ofmand it dominates a member ofP(m). The bills follow:2S + 2(p2+p3)3S + 6·min(p2,p3)4S + 4·min(p2,p3)5S + 5·min(p)#4279's completeness step is a finite reduction checked only by its own search.
Claim type: an independent exhaustive finite computation in the box of entries
≤ 3m. No new κ.Result
For every
m = 2..5and every residuec, within the box:P(m);mdominatingP(m): 36, 54, 72 and 80 vectors per residue;P(m)does not depend onc;min over P(m)at 2,000 random rational prices, giving 12, 18, 20 and 25 at unit prices.Method and independence
The method is different from #4279's middle-letter reduction:
R(n), the products of words with exact countsn, satisfiesR(n) = ⋃_l g_l·R(n − e_l)in the lower unitriangular group modm.R(n)aren_l mod m, so each set lives on six coordinates.m = 2, 3in about 19 seconds.countdp.ccoversm = 2..5;m = 5takes 21 s and about 128 MB. Its recorded runs are bound to the source by SHA256, agree with Python atm = 2, 3, and are local evidence that CI does not recompile.Nothing is imported from #4279.
