Reacted by jagprog7Cleanroom changed its installer starting with version 0.15.16. I had a similar issue with my own launcher and had to integrate Cleanroom myself. So the issue is on itzg's side - if they don't add support, there's nothing you can do.

Correct, I don't yet support it.
Enhancement request is tracked here itzg/docker-minecraft-server#4282 and I'm looking for community help on this one. I have added support for every major mod loader, so I have run out of mental energy for now to add cleanroom support myself.

given that 0.5.16 is not ok and 0.5.15 is ok and this is just a minor version bump (backwards compatible) I assume this is an unintentional regression on Cleanroom's side
on specifically 0.5.16 and above something is breaking the downstream install-forge command
