This release is an update with some bug fixes and some new features. The release is the complete software required for any Edition. The free Edition has some restrictions. Purchasing the DOTE Pro or DOTE Pro Community license will unlock the premium features. See our webshop for more details.

  • To install for the first time, download DOTE for your operating system and follow the installation instructions.
  • To update your current version of DOTE, download the latest version and install as if for the first time. DOTE will be updated, keeping all your settings and options.

We have also created a new demo project that you can download and import into DOTE.

  • Option to batch import multiple media files in Media Manager.
  • Add SRT file import.
  • New Check for Updates on Help menu.

    • Linking between DOTEbase and DOTE so transcripts can be opened in DOTE from DOTEbase.
    • Transcript locking when editing in DOTE and viewing in DOTEbase to stop clip clashing on save.

  • Fix for video playback errors.
  • Optimise video frame rendering while scrubbing timeline.
  • Fix for timeline selection tool exceeding boundaries of timeline.
  • Fix for error in time displayed in Export progress bar.
  • Fix for missing error message when license key does not match server.

Known Issues

  • Incorrect insertion of TAB when autocompleting an overlap that is embedded in the prior line.
  • Some complex neighbourhoods in a transcript using Mondadaian conventions are not realigned correctly
  • False positive errors reported with some complex neighbourhoods in a transcript using Mondadaian conventions
