Over the course of the past year, from February 24, 2024, the public test date, to March 6, 2024, the release date of ZVMS 4.0, we have dedicated ourselves to designing, stabilizing, and updating the volunteer management system.
This platform is not merely a tool; it is a product of the collective efforts of students on campus. They have dedicated their time to maintaining the school’s public assets, which serve as the foundation for efficient volunteer management, time tracking, and analysis.
In this year’s development process, the development group, particularly the Department of Practice in the Student Union at Zhenhai High School, has been actively involved in designing the next generation of the volunteer management workflow, rules, and other essential components. The platform is designed to enforce these rules with justice and fairness, but its role extends beyond that. It assumes the responsibility of seeking a more effective and efficient volunteer management experience through online approaches, demonstrating students’ ability to manage a fully logical and rationalized workflow to practical code.
Despite facing some challenges, we have successfully addressed them. Notably, in November 2024, a student from Class J3, Grade 10, exploited the secretary’s account to modify the administrator’s password, which was the original password, and subsequently promoted himself to the administrator’s position. He also sent threatening messages. However, through the assistance of Clarity, we were able to identify the perpetrator within two hours and effectively managed the situation on that day.
While the system may not be flawless, we remain committed to its improvement. We have eliminated unnecessary functions, deleted redundant features, and prioritized safety to maintain the school’s order and integrity. Additionally, we have implemented a comprehensive vulnerability tracking system that encompasses logs and Clarity heatmaps.
ZVMS has undergone a protracted development journey, spanning from its initial concept to its current state. The platform’s success is a testament to the invaluable contributions of our dedicated team members, such as @Zecyel, @kermanx, and others.
