Backend engineer focused on distributed systems and building APIs that don't make other engineers angry. I occasionally start side projects with grand ambitions and ship them just far enough to become someone else's problem.
Tech I work with
- Go — primary language, where I spend most of my time
- Python — scripting, tooling, the occasional data thing
- TypeScript — when the frontend team needs help and I lose a bet
- Postgres, Redis, NATS — the usual suspects
- Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform — infra side of things
What I'm into
Distributed systems, service reliability, CLI tooling, and the kind of DevOps work that makes deployments boring (in a good way). I tend to care too much about observability and not enough about writing READMEs.
Currently
- Building a small job queue library in Go — because apparently the world needed another one
- Learning more about eBPF for network observability
- Trying to keep my dotfiles repo from becoming a second job
