Huge memory usage after loading emojis

Once rest of emojis are being loaded memory usage goes from approximately 270M to 1.1G~ and is never being freed up. Current work around is to reload daemon manually.

Additionally, when installing new apps on system zlaunch does not pick them up without, again, reloading daemon

The memory usage is concerning but I can't reproduce locally, stays at around 300MB on my system. Any chance you could do a heaptrack/flamegraph or something (e.g. using cargo-flamegraph)?

PR #24 will add automatic app list reloading (by watching directory mtimes), feel free to test it out (will probably release next weekend).

Hey, I still can't reproduce this and unfortunately the flamegraph isn't that helpful either. Can you try the latest zlaunch release (0.5.0)? It uses a new version of GPUI with the new wgpu renderer, maybe that changed something. If not, please try and build from source when using cargo-flamegraph, with a debug build (so we have proper symbols in there).

Unfortunately latest 0.5.0 release did not fix memory issue so theres new flamegraph

As extra context I can mention that the memory spikes once you scroll down a little bit, you get some small freeze, it might be because I'm using Apple Emoji font for emojis, which does not work on linux build of gpui as mentioned in my other issue (#23)
