[Bug] Editing raw JSON does not work

Description

I am trying to change the color for my starships. I read this reddit post and followed the instructions. Changed the Color and saved from NomNom, launched the game and saw no changes. Editing raw JSON again from NomNom and my previous changes were gone.

Expected Behavior

Color of ship should be changed in-game. Platform is Steam. Attaching save file(Extension changed from .hg due to github rules)

are you trying to change the "old colors" on a ship that uses the "new colors" without tripping the "use old colors" setting?
