This addresses a myriad of compatibility issues the Zellij terminal emulator had as exposed by the first vttest scenario.
This doesn't behave 100% as vttest intends (namely with fixed 132 column setups which are not very relevant for us), but after this the behaviour is exactly like that of urxvt and alacritty in this scenario.
