high CPU usage

I'm experiencing a high CPU usage in foobar2000 1.3.8 (and some older 1.3.x versions also) on WindowsXP SP3 on two different computers (both with Intel Core E8400 but MB and sound cards are different).
High CPU usage load occurs rarely and almost randomly.
But after triggering, high CPU load persist for some times and even after reboots now.
As I guess it appears after playing some unidentified combination of tracks.
