Security fixes are provided for the latest major version published under the latest npm dist-tag. Older major versions remain available for compatibility, but do not receive regular security updates.

Please do not disclose suspected vulnerabilities in public issues or pull requests. Use GitHub's Report a vulnerability form in the repository's Security and quality section instead:

Include the affected version, a clear description of the impact, reproduction steps or a proof of concept when possible, and any suggested remediation. The maintainer will review the report privately and coordinate disclosure after a fix is available.
