Currently, Yugabyte has the ability to specify separate directories for WALs and DocDB data. This functionality should be added to YW, so that potentially different volumes on different media types could be used for WALs vs data, especially with CDC/2DC in the picture. This should apply for k8s deployments as well as VMs.
