floating label is missing if the textfield is initialised with a value

Focusing the textfield renders the floating label.

Mhh, I quickly stepped through it with the debugger, but couldn't figure out why, probably something with Animated.Text?

Would you please post the code reproducing the problem?
I have an initial value example in the demo app which is working fine.

It seems the floating label is not rerendered when the value is changed by the means of setState:

Looks like the Textfield failed to handle the initial state, I'll fix it.

BTW, since RN v0.9.0, if you want to set the initial value of a TextInput, you'll have to use the defaultValue prop instead of value, or the TextInput will not accept any new input.
